Sloooow... Giving it one more chance before quit
fucking piece of shit nbc i swear to god you're the devil of networks
Great new cooking show!.. Highly recommend
I am amazed by this show, everything is so esthetic and subtle! Mads Mikkelsen is stunning as Hannibal, he delivers maybe one of the greatest performance in television history!
Visually stunning show, creative murders, but there's a bit too much pretentious bullshit.
It’s literally so good. there are many moments where you’re confused but you have to watch it as a camp comedy gay drama with free artistic murder
There is no doubt that "Hannibal" is an ambitious series. The creator of it already had in mind making seven seasons before its premiere, which has been quite a declaration of intent taking into account that of series that are canceled in their first season. Its reception has not been very warm in terms of viewers, partly also due to the content that is not suitable for everyone, but it should also be noted that its viewers are loyal, which makes it end up becoming a delicatessen for a few privileged.
"Hannibal" is simmering, basing the plot on the relationship between the two protagonists as well as those that occur with the secondary characters of the series. We must comment that all the actors are very good to a greater or lesser extent, highlighting the two main ones, Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen (this is a monster of interpretation).
Season 2 made me stop watching, disappointing and could've been executed so much better
Yes. Just yes. this show is everything I could have asked for as a Hannibal television series, it was just breathtaking.
10/10 The second season took the show to the next level
Literal ART. Ponderous, masterfully orchestrated and captivatingly polished. Mads Mikkelsen is extraordinary.
To use a buzzword: This is cinematography and scenery porn! A lot of slow motions and long elegiac dialogues about psychology, ethics, moral and consistency.
Would be better if this was on a premium cable channel. Very Dexteresque.
The violence, the class, visuals, audio, psychology and Hannibal's mind control. It is so beautiful I want to cry. I wish I could go back in time and see it for the first time again so I could cry from the psychological and eye candy this show brings. In my crazy head this places as #1 and best show I've ever seen even above Breaking Bad.
Very good series with good actors. Definately worth the shot
Constantine and now Hannibal, it's getting really hard not to hate NBC. I really hope Amazon will pick up the show, it deserves at least the seven seasons Fuller has planned
I still can't believe this aired on broadcast television.
My words exacly Gustaf! This show is beautiful. I completely love its overall mood.
un final perfecto para esta serie..... y con dos mis parejas favoritas el bromance entre Hanibal y will y el matrimonio de Alana con Margot...
NBC have announced they are cancelling Hannibal after season 3. The producers say they are trying to shop it around :(
"NBC has allowed us to craft a television series that no other broadcast network would have dared, and kept us on the air for three seasons despite Cancellation Bear Chow ratings and images that would have shredded the eyeballs of lesser Standards & Practices enforcers." - creator Bryan Fuller
Season 1 and 2 were great, but season 3 has been boring so far. Visually great, but that's not much for entertainment on hour-long episodes.
One of the best series I've seen. It's up there among my other favorite shows like Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Sherlock and True Detective. I didn't realize untill only a few days ago, but I get a strong feeling of fear and awe whenever I hear one of the classical pieces he plays in the series. It's that good.
I love how the top rating for this show is 'Delicious!' instead of 'Totally Ninja!' - nice one trakt!
over 50% drop of viewers oO - but its a good show!
This show really sucks - especially if you compare it to an intelligent show like The Following. Already quit...
Season 1,2. 8.5
Season 3. 6
The end was poetic, we Will never see again something like this.
words cannot describe how OBSESSED i am, i finally get the hype that the hannibal craze had a chokehold on 2014 tumblr teenage girls. the cast had an amazing humor and chemistry on the set, it's no wonder how smoothly and real the acting feels (so necessary to watch the bloopers after finishing the series).
the gore that the sound and visuals represent are so well-done, at one-point i wondered if they used ACTUAL body parts.?? the answer is no. there's so many things to unpack each season, each is unique but can be a hit-or-miss. queer-baiting is VERY far from hannibal and i love that it gave us the representation to dissect. hannibal and will is romantically-involved without the sexualization of it, it is beyond physical touch but pure intimacy of the characters. this show has so many hidden easter eggs, foreshadowing, symbolism, and references; it makes rewatching soo enjoyable!!
one word - COLD !!!! 9 :star2:
Girls don’t want boys they want Hannibal S4
cinematography, homoerotic subtext, homoerotic context, toxicity, obnoxiousness, delusion, like there’s something for everyone here
hannibal gave me an inferiority complex and i'll admit that it gets a bit pretentious and confusing sometimes, but still a 10/10
Conceptually I really love this show, though it does linger a little too much on metaphors and cinematography for me to truly enjoy it. I simply got bored or confused too many times.
I want to know who Hannibal Lecter’s tailor is. Those suits he wear are very well tailored. Overall, in my opinion, the wardrobe choices in this series are very well done. They match each individual character’s background and personality.
The story arcs are a bit slow. However, these are characters I’m familiar with (from the movies), and I kind of know who does what. So the slow burn doesn’t bother me as much. I feel like I’m getting to know Hannibal at a deeper level in this series.
gayge :waving_white_flag::rainbow::waving_white_flag::rainbow::waving_white_flag::rainbow::waving_white_flag::rainbow::waving_white_flag::rainbow:
A very dark and sophisticated show that will keep you invested if you enjoy watching characters spiral. While the show can drag at times, this was a very well-crafted show that relies on it's characters to keep you invested rather than the kills.
the ending gave me a new life
I was pretty surprised by this. It started off as a replacement for Dexter, only instead of a vigilante serial killer who makes his bodies disappear we have a cannibalistic true psychopath who kills innocents and presents them in different forms, as a form of art. By the end of the second season going into the third, I was pretty confused. Hannibal left no evidence in any of his kills (Chesapeake or otherwise), yet they somehow managed to connect him to every single murder. It's also odd that he surrenders, but the ending was surprisingly good. Be warned though, this series has quite a few holes; so, if this doesn't really interest you, I'd avoid it.
Oh dear! This, for fans of the books and The Silence of the Lambs, is an overdressed pigeon, that imagines it is a Christmas duch. The locations and apartments are beautiful and totally unrealistic, the characters as written and seen are all cardboard cutouts dropped into jerky transitions that do not make sense. There is no sense that these characters know each other, much are actually friends. At every point, the FBI characters drop their guard just to suit this wonky tale. The female characters are here mainly to show skin and have sex to fill in plot holes. Gillian Anderson puts in a creditable performance but this series invites one to believe in a godlike Lecter, who is not witty, not personable, not exciting and gives you no reason to be bothered if he died at the end of the first episode. Will, has all the presence of boiled cabbage, and I found myself cheering every attempt on his life. Special effects go a long way in making this dud look very 'now' but the script has ao many holes, one gets very irritated long before the middle of the second season. What a waste.
Season 2 is boring but OH MY GOD SEASON 3. each episode is heart breakimg and beautiful.
Absolutely brilliant! My wife hates shows like this so I watched it alone in my dark basement. There were plenty of episodes where I had to take some time to figure out how to re-enter society. Damn, what a great show.
This is definitely a piece of high-quality TV
A must-see
misogynistic yet gay. will graham you silly dog man. scene where that guy ate his own face truly made me uncomfortable.
Despite the abused source material, "Hannibal" manages to create its own peculiar atmosphere and surprise its audience with a whole new approach to the same old story. The first season works as some kind of prequel entirely focused on Hannibal and Will Graham's ambiguous relationship, while the other two seasons freely rearrange events from Thomas Harris' books to fit Bryan Fuller's vision. Even the characters directly taken from the novels tend to be gender-bent, have completely different personalities or new roles in the story. Compared with Anthony Hopkins' somewhat campy portrayal of Hannibal Lecter, Mads Mikkelsen's performance feels much more sober, elegant, and charming in its own way.
I liked how the show attempts to take us inside the killers' minds and capture the twisted beauty of their "designs". It requires suspension of disbelief on many occasions but ultimately pays off with sophisticated visuals, a consistently intense atmosphere, and hours of wicked mind games. Hannibal Lecter's character is obviously what makes the show so engaging to watch, but his superior intellect tends to be emphasized a little too much at times. In particular, things start to get a little repetitive from the second half of the second season. It was interesting to see Will Graham fight his way out of prison and at the same time work new series of murders from behind bars, but once he gets out and starts his new "therapy", the same old cat and mouse game begins again. Still, the level stays pretty high and gets even higher for the sumptuous season finale.
The third and last season is overall satisfying, even though a bit too disjointed in pacing. It starts with a series of classy yet tediously slow and pretentious episodes set in Florence and inspired by the "Hannibal" novel and film. Then, Mason Verger's campy revenge story kicks in to serve as a memorable climax for the whole series. The second half revisits the "Red Dragon" story arc but felt a little dull in comparison. Still, it's heartbreaking to see this show end so abruptly. At least we got the long-debated homoerotic subtext officially celebrated in the season finale.
On a side note, I can't believe that so many characters kept coming back from the dead, though. I understand that they were trying to keep the main cast alive for a long as possible, but every time someone gets stabbed or supposedly killed, you already know that most likely they are going to make it as usual.
I watched this via Foxtel
Simply it's a masterpiece,I really enjoyed this show, although it was boring sometimes? but the actors, message in this show was so Great and Deep
im sad that they cancelled it!!!
wtf, they should make more of it
it's A unique show!
i really have a lot to say about it
but words won't be enough
so
thanks for who made this masterpiece
and im gonna miss them so much
and
this is my design;)
Breathtakingly Stunning!!
Oh What a show, the story, the acting, special credits to the BGM and Cinematography which truly make the show a creepy nail-biting watch, also to Bryan Fuller for creating this "master-piece",also I must say that the makers definitely have a "Taste" for It.
The way this show looks is beyond words. It’s incredible. The cinematography is perhaps the best I’ve ever seen in a show. The visuals and the tone are both amazing, and the acting is great.
My issue with this show is that it often put me to sleep. The soft voices along with the pacing, music, and darkness make it a very easy show to doze off to. I thought that seasons 1 and 2 both started off slow and took a while to get to the point. When they got there, it was fantastic, and the ending to season 2 is especially amazing. The longer the show went on, the less believable it became, and that also ruined some of it for me.
I really didn’t care about the cases that the characters were working on in the average episode. All I cared about was the Will-Hannibal dynamic.
Anyway, I didn’t intend to make this a long comment, so I’ll stop here.
I’m stuck between giving this show a good or a great. There’s a lot of really great stuff to see, but I found most episodes to only be fair or good outside of the cinematography.
This show was Outstanding. I cannot begin to describe how much I loved this show, which is why it's BS cancellation, brought on a hatred of NBC that I hold to this day. If not for Chicago PD, and my wife, NBC would never be watched again.
I don't have much to add that hasn't been added before, but I do appreciate the diversity of Hannibal, and the fact hat gay characters can be present and leading in a show, even a gay relationship, where 1) the point isn't that they're gay 2) one of them doesn't die and 3) there's no emotional gripping coming out story. It's just treated like it would had Will been a woman, which is what is most realistic anyways.
The show was well acted and written. Problem was there was not enough Hannibal being Hannibal. If you have a show called Hannibal it should be all Hannibal all the time.
Solid season of television, although I didn’t think there was anything exceptional about it. Look forward to starting season 2.
I took my time to finish this series (three years to watch season 3) and I AM CRAZY WITH THAT ENDING. I loved the series since the first episode and I'm so sad that it was cancelled. I loved it it's not enough.
Cannot say anything else than how brilliant this series is. Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy did a terrific job in acting as a psychopath and as an unstable profiler. Besides this amazing acting, the cinematography is also perfect. The visuals, murders were not too gore but beautifully displayed (nope, not inspired, don't worry) and the mind manipulating Hannibal is doing is awesome. It feels so complete and the only thing I didn't like that much was how slow season three was. It sometimes felt like it was taking a bit too long for everything to happen. However, the gigantic plot twist at the end of season three was great as well. The subtle, funny clues that made the viewer conclude that the killer was Hannibal like when he said that "nothing here is vegetarian" and the dozens of others times he did so.
Therewithal there were the times that Hannibal killed someone to enable Will to catch the other killers and the times that Hannibal laughed the FBI in the face. This series is in one word: prodigious.
First two seasons are great and the last one is ok. The beauty of the crimescenes and the great acting of almost all characters (especially Hannibal, Will , Bedelia and Mason) and their relations makes this a very nice show.
Hard to follow but just embarking on Season 3, the show is visually stunning and amazing to watch. Everything feels overplayed in a good way.
Word is they are negotiating a season 4, and filming would start this year.
Best tv show i have ever seen !!!
Best tv show i have ever seen !!!
One of the best series of the 21th century!
ive watched this 3 times in its entirety since it ended in august. each time truly gets better. the first time, youre just sucked in by all the great visuals, the procedurals and the evolving relationships of the characters. second time, you see where things begin. you notice how far back the seeds are planted for further revelations. you get to enjoy the subtle clues as to what was going on in each episode. third time, you really can focus on the micro nuances of the great acting and character development. i highly recommend the av club interviews with bryan fuller as you go along. ill be getting the blu-rays soon and am looking forward to the 4 time through commentary tracks. im sure at one point i will get bored of what it has to offer, but i do not see that in the near future. this show is pretty much everything that i enjoy wrapped up in one package. like bryan fuller has crawled around in my head and thrown everything i desire on the tv. hes pretty much my favorite person in the world right now. each season has a distinct flavor. i hope sometime in the future we will get to see yet another evolution of the rich characters in the world bryan fuller has built for us.
Fantastic show. Absolutely love the dark ambiance of it. I do have two small complaints about it however, certain themes get rehashed a bit too often, and Hannibal's fascination with Will Graham feels uncharacteristic, even a bit forced.
I rate it a 9 out of 10 however, mostly because of the art direction.
Brilliant in every aspect. Story-wise, settings, the macabre scenarios. Just fantastic tv.
Dizzyingly cerebral. Sublimely macabre.
Fuller's finest yet.
It's one of the best TV series, in my opinion and the end left me wordless :/ in particular, what Badelia does is very creepy :O anyway, I hope there will be another season even though I know it has come to an end and I hope Will Graham will marry me in real life #savehannibal
It's so saddening, that this had to end.Are we willing to let Hannibal die , or stick it to big faceless corporations by bringing it back more glorious than ever ?
What a series! I'm gonna miss you so much
One of the best TV show ever ! So sad they cancel it.
Great Show. As good as any Marvel movie.
Great show.Waiting for the remaining episodes of season
3.Hope it gets renewed for season 4 too.

COME BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK HURRY HANNIBAL LECTER!!!
On a similar note I must confess to you, I'm giving very serious thought... to eating your wife. Gotta say, have been enjoying it this far, cant wait for Season 3!
Incredible show, I love it.
Hannibal definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat, just waiting to see what the next big gruesome crime/murder is going to be! The casting and plot is brilliant, it's undoubtedly a must watch!
La mejor serie que he visto en mi vida, y tardare mucho en ver alguna mejor, hay cosas difíciles de mejorar, otras prácticamente imposible

This show is flipping amazing! They've done Hannibal so well! Madds is seriously perfect for the role of Hannibal! I've loved every single episode!
The seasons have me in a bit of a roller coaster of enjoyment, but when each has ended, I have thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
So wierd in places. Violence fans will rejoice. On a whole a good show if you can go with the "dreamy?" sequences.
beautiful and sick and twisted. This show has it all. Absolutely sick. To think it could have got cancelled due to tv ratings? oh please.
10/10 The second season took the show to the next level
It's unexpected, creepy, addictive and extremely well written.
Amazing show!!
Best series I have ever seen. Izzard should have had a bigger role though :)
How on earth will they make a third season? The s2 finale seemed rather final enough... I'm sure they'll think of something, having yet to disappoint me.... but damn.
Beautiful deaths. Love the finale!!
Ótima serie, tão boa quanto os filmes (senão melhor) Mads Mikkelsen é um Hannibal Lecter espetacular, a atuação de Hugh Dancy é fantástica.
Excelente serie, ansioso pela 3 temporada.

Simply perfect, astonishing, flawless... A delightful combination of violence, emotional explorations of perversion, psychology, complexity, great acting and audiovisual beauty, creates a sordid journey into the depths of the human tabu. Overpowering and compelling but not suitable for everyone
