1975: Sigrun takes up her position as caregiver to the eccentric Baroness Heidenreich at Villa Rosenkreuz, a sprawling estate. While the young woman comes across traces of her origins there, the childless noblewoman is willing to go to extremes in search of a descendant. Floating particles of the past glide through the museum walls, where fascism and esotericism intertwine, so that the most unholy ghosts can be invoked.
