Nemesis 1992

I vaguely remember this from when I was in my early teens the youtube channel "The bad movie bible" reminded me of its existence. Though I remember the sequel better. I was expecting to watch the worst movie ever but despite all it's shortcomings I really enjoyed it. Maybe it's because I was expecting a bad movie and maybe because of nostalgia, but it wasn't bad.

I think there's enough lore here for a reboot, if they lean into wacky characters. Max was ace by the way.

It's a blend of almost every 80s sci-fi/action element you can think of. It's low rent, but it has that Pyun charm that raises it's prestige. The lead is a perplexing choice, but he's surrounded by soo many awesome character actors that help the movie along. I kind of wish I had seen this back in the day, I feel I would've liked it a lot more.

These types of movies don't age well. It would have been ok at the time with attractive people dressed in 90's fashion with "high tech cyborgs", but that world is a long time ago.

Sadly, without acting or a decent script, it doesn't have much to offer and just becomes noise. Nothing to see here.

Pretty thin script but you know that going into most Pyun movies. Consistency isnt really his top priority. Instead, its cool atmosphere, locations and lots of explosions and guns to keep you mildly entertained.
