Takes place in 1949 and tells the story of Emilie and Emir, two Catholic brothers who flee an imminent war in Lebanon. During the journey, Emilie falls in love with a Muslim merchant, Omar. Emir suffers from uncontrollable jealousy and will use their religious differences to separate them.
