A Doris Day, Gordon MacRae musical, complete with Broadway dance routines. Curtiz was dead on the money when he launched a singer with no acting experience into a huge movie career, seeing in Doris, "the American girl". Doris is radiant. I give this a 7 (fun) out of 10. S Z Sakall brings his winning Hungarian charm to this film, and is the precursor for "Yoda" speak..
