This movie is honestly INSANE, but somehow the story seems to make more sense in this compared to the first two.
Art The Clown has me laughing with every single facial expression, so simple but hilarious.
The kill scenes are so messed up that I found myself covering my eyes… it’s a lot.
There’s so many bad things someone could pick out about this film, but I gotta say that Vicky’s character wasn’t really needed. She was just there to be a voice for Art. Ugh she was just so annoying.
I honestly don’t know how these movies keep getting made, but I’ll be sat to watch them all
Terrifier 3 takes the series to new heights, expanding on the lore established in the first two films. While new characters are scarce, we delve deeper into Sienna's family history and her connection to Art the Clown. The film stays true to its roots with over-the-top, grotesque, and depraved scenes, complemented by impressive practical effects and dark humor. This installment is a must-watch for hardcore horror fans and anyone tired of the usual slasher tropes, cranking everything up to eleven for maximum shock value.
A movie where the character is much bigger than the movie itself. The story uses the Christmas period as a theme, and is very straightforward and simple, but the clown character, Art, is a spectacle, he has no lines, and his charisma goes beyond words through his expressions, his brutality, and the jokes, everything is unique and genius, when he enters the scene it is absurdly extreme, disturbing, hilarious, the sensation is more like a roller coaster with no brakes, everything is extremely absurd, violent and fun.
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Terrifier 3’:
David Howard Thornton is easily headed towards the cherished ranks of Robert Englund. I haven’t seen a character convey such equal amounts of terror and humor since Krueger. It’s truly an art. Literally an Art. It’s horror gold. And I feel like he’s only getting started.
Leone has found something truly special in Sienna and Lauren LaVera. LaVera has definitely grown as an actress since Terrifier 2 and it feels like she has really embraced this character. She was giving some supreme final girl vibes and you can’t help but root for her. I do, however, wish she was given a liiittle more to work with, leading to my third thought…
This series has come SUCH a long way since the first one… and it was doing a great job of fleshing out the lore and giving these characters some more depth and purpose… but I felt like the final act snuck up on us a little too quick and it felt a liiiiiiittle thrown together. I feel like we’re still left with the same questions we had from the last ending. Sienna needed a more badass moment. And it would’ve been nice to see her inflict some real damage to Art. Instead, she managed to do less than last time. Still, my first two thoughts outshine this blemish, and only leaves room for these films to get better. And even more insane. But they do need to fine tune this mythology a smidge.
They did Jonathan so dirty in this one. Not only do they supposedly kill him off, but they do it off-screen.
"Clownie" is a true ARTiste. This one is my favourite of the series to date. The tongue in cheek humour was in full effect here. Art when not cutting people up is actually quite funny. He's an icon unto himself. This is the first one I saw in a relatively packed theatre and that definitely heightens the experience.
Much better editing than the second as well. Superb 80s soundtrack. Strong 7.4 for me.
Terrifier 3 knows what it is and knows what it is not. By now, fans of this franchise know the same. Damien Leone somehow ups the anti from Terrifier 2 and delivers horror even more shocking and vile. This film is a good time if you're looking for a gorno movie and don't expect anything more.
Huge fan of the first two movies. After the reports began to roll in of how brutal this one was, that people were passing out, vomiting, running out of the theater, I had to wonder, "gee, just how far does this one go?" I sat there, expecting the worst, but it was just a Terrifier movie, and actually, I'd say it was tame compared to the others.
All that being said, the movie is graphic, it is bloody, but you should already expect this by now. I don't feel like the violence ever crossed a line or got into a realm that would alienate fans of the previous Terrifier films or 99% of horror fans.
Let's go onto the movie itself. Apparently, Damien Leone listened to a criticism of Terrifier 2 and made this one shorter. Okay, I don't know who was saying part 2 was long; that movie is exactly as long as it needed to be, and it flies by. This one, though being shorter, drags in places; that was my first issue. The movie is just a gory scene, then a slow moment with Sienna and her family, repeat.
The editing is very jumpy, as in, you're in one place, then another. We're doing this, then that. There isn't a smooth flow to how the scenes fit together. And it's not as if Damien can't edit, just look at the first two movies. Supposedly there is a longer cut of this, and I want to see it.
Another problem I had was the gear change in order to accommodate the higher body count. What does that mean? Well, in order to have more death, you sacrifice character development. The first two movies connected all the dots by either being simple enough or long enough to give the deaths value. The reason the biggest kill in the franchise (Allie's death) was so impactful, was because we had time to get to know her, so it was all the more brutal when it happened. If it would have been some random dude, I wouldn't have cared as much, and would only remember the special effects. What this comes down to is writing, and the time needed to capture the right emotional impact.
Those are the main complaints. Onto what I liked.
This movie really hits all the same beats as the others, so that's a granted. Specifically, what I liked was Vicky. Now, technically, she has been in every film, but she actually gets the time to shine here. I wanted much more of her. The best moment with her was... well, I'll put it this way... glassturbation. I was sad to see that The Little Pale Girl was not in this one, but Vicky is basically taking over that role here, and even wears the same outfit toward the end.
Overall, very good. I think, after more viewings, I will have a higher opinion of part 3. A problem with all the Terrifier films is that they are puzzle pieces, so we're not getting the full picture. I'm ready to witness what part 4 will bring.
"Pass the rice!"
It was a lot of gory fun, but pretty disappointed they didn’t get more into the lore
There are only so many ways to dismember people but that doesn’t meant there aren’t a lot. I’m happy this is a successful franchise even if I don’t necessarily love the films.

Movie of the year for me. The audience in my theater had a great time with this one, it was an awesome experience. If you liked the last movie then you'll love this, it's just as good.
