Florence - the worst actress ever.
Sure. The case is watchable. Not sure how she managed to lift her on that air bed though or whether the police's theory will convince a judge. I honestly didn't understand the time delay here. How long did it take before she sank? 6 minutes? That's a very short period of time to cover your tracks. That gave her the chance to take the noisy argument as an alibi? Conveniently the cleaning lady happened to be there within that six minutes time frame. F*** that. Just push her into the pool. Fake the argument. Done. Same result. What did that accomplish? Does it matter? The plan's risky part is that nobody finds her drowning (that would have been obvious) or on the bottom of the pool before she faked the argument. Plus, how exactly did she manage to collect the airbed afterwards? Did she do that after CSI was finished? How would the airbed then go unnoticed? Or was that before CSI investigated? The latter again would pose an enormous additional risk to be associated with the murder. There's more questions I could ask... I'm not convinced that's enough for the trial.
Fortunately, we got Florence back. That's cool. But I don't like the awkward division between the two islands. Why was that necessary? The zoom calls are just awkward and kill the vibe. Was that primarily due to production reasons? Sure, probably they were not supposed to meet each other in person. Not yet (thus the "to be continued") but I still suspect we won't see a proper romance story between main characters. They never did this - I don't expect this to happen now. Would be cool though if our protagonists developed a credible social life off work. All off-duty stories we got so far with this DI were only half-baked to say the least.
The sad part is that Hugo's explanation for why he bullied Abigail is how many bullies excuse their actions; "poor me, something was happening to me, so I took it out on someone else". As if that makes it ok and no one else was struggling.

"Mean Girls: Death in Paradise Edition." Ngl, I'm really glad the guy with the kids wasn't the one to do it because it would've been really sad. I do wonder how they made the arrest, though. They have a very compelling story, but what evidence is there of her crime?
I loved the fact we had a Florance-led investigation! If Neville really is leaving, maybe we could have a female D.I. :eyes: Although, honestly, I would really love it if Neville maybe went on his trip with Florance, and then they came back to be a crime-fighting couple. It would be fresh to have a couple on the team and see how that bleeds into their crime-solving shenanigans. Especially as Death in Paradise has avoided that option like the plague lol It would definitely be more interesting than a new DI with a new quirk IMO
