8x03 How the West Was 1010001

It wasn't bad. not as good as the original run, but way better than last week's episode

Same problem as The Simpsons. It looks the same and sounds the same as in the good old days except it’s just not funny or good anymore.

Not even funny as it seem like it generated by some AI content… or Hulu doesn’t know how to create good comedy.

omg. each episode is worse then previous. the original (second (third?) series) finale was perfect. I guess I'll just pretend there is no third (fourth?) series

Best one so far. Good visuals and location. But still writing is so terrible.

Why didn't they just name bitcoin something else? Would have changed absolutely nothing about the episode. Otherwise,I thought the scene change was fun, the piano playing robot had a cool design and the three way showdown was entertaining enough.

So this is strange. The jokes are there and they work. It has legitimately good gags. The issue is predictable though: this show is too reactive. It tries so hard to make fun of everything going on in 2023, the jokes immediately become dated, not to mention out of place in the future. The Apple Maps joke would have made sense 6 years ago, not now when it’s actually good. The stories are just not imaginative enough.

The jokes in this one were just weird. It's gone like the Simpson. As near as I can describe it, it seems that the generation that was really young during its initial run and didn't get the more adult references at the time and only understood the more obvious and physical jokes now gets to make the episodes as they remember it with no real intelligent or hidden subtext type jokes in it at all. Just obvious childish ones, painful in some areas.

This season's been pretty bad so far.

It started with one big fourth-wall parody that isn't very funny, and even though the previous episode had a decent concept it was just kinda "meh".

And the same goes for this one. Bitcoin but wild west? Really? And there's like 3 subplots that kinda go nowhere while Hermes & his kid are just kinda there for no reason.

I'm hoping things improve, but I kinda doubt it.

Modern Simpsons, the trainwreck that is Disenchanted and now this shows that Groening is too far gone (and the writers he employs aren't much better). Dude has 600 million net worth and is on the verge of 70. Just give it up dude.

... Or maybe it just isn't for you (anymore).

This is much better than it has the right to be.
