I'm familiar with the character of Lupin, and I LOVE THIS. Omar Sy is as charming as ever, and he's definitely in his element here. Cannot wait to see where this show goes, I'm already hooked!
So the cops don't find the original necklace stashed in the dustbin while investigating the crime scene? And he just comes back in the same night to clean? There's no police there that recognizes him as the same black man who was just there? I'm sorry but too many potential plot holes and i'm employing a lot of suspension of disbelief to my taste already in the 1st episode.
Saw this pop up by chance when I was meant to be winding down for sleep with Headspace’s Mediation guide.
I love all things Lupin and so this tickled my fancy. I’m hopeful the rest of the season makes good on this promising setup. Fingers crossed!
This was so much better than I thought it would be! (And why I don't put much credence in trailers). Such a fun romp on the first episode! Can't wait to watch more...
This show is brilliant. Starting is super cool
Filled to the brim with tropes and other cliches but hella entertaining. Excited for what's to come.
At first I was super disappointed cause I was like WHY IS HE DOING SUCH AN ELABORATE HEIST just to pay a small debt? Like if he owed them the same as child support it was like a couple thousand so WHY... but then it was like OOOOOOHHHHH THAT’S WHY. That was very good and entertaining!
And I loved that detective that from the start was like Lupin! And everyone was like shut the fck up, and then he was like LUPIN! Ha!
The only thing I didn’t get, is did he actually got to see his dad in prison or when he was outside the visiting room he was more like a ghost? And why would the dad off himself? And I feel like obviously the Pellegrini family stole it, the dad or maybe the daughter.
Very nice, I love how the story was told. It's also a nice mix of sad, funny, and badass scenes. There's certainly a lot to it. I hope Assane will get his justice (the end seemed very concerning when the detective discovered his anagram - hopefully his plan isn't stupid and covers that). It's nice how they can make this entertaining while also covering racism (which is more of a serious and sad topic but nonetheless a very important topic).
The story seems very promising so far but one obviously shouldn't take it too serious (there are necessarily a few plot holes / unrealistic parts).
I'm glad that I finally gave this a watch (thanks to my brother).
Lupin is a must see on Netflix
So much deeper/better than i thought :)
It got to be something serious if the 1st episode is 80% shot on the Louvre, but it need to do a lot more on the next episodes to truly be unforgettable
The cop happens to have a book of Lupin on his desk?

Fairly predictable but I still enjoyed it.
