What did I miss ? Didn't they switch out the cups at the end of the last episode? The "that was heavier than we thought" explanation doesn't really work well. I liked the forced interaction between those three. Had some really fun lines.
Jar-Jar did a lot of stupid things but he directly, albeit inadbertenly, caused the deathof Kharrus.
Not nearly as good as the first part of the arc but ultimately gets the job done. Hondo Ohnaka is still a riot here but unfournately he's underplayed in favour of his second-in-command Turk who isn't nearly as interesting and now saddled with a betrayal arc that doesn't really go anywhere prior to his grisly end. Jar Jar Binks is also bizarrely underplayed here, this time with a different actor too, which is noticeable and lacks Ahmed Best's committed performance as the character. Because of that, a lot of this episode feels elongated when it didn't need to be, taking way too long to get going.
The real highlight here are with Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Dooku, forced to work together to escape and their chemistry is shockingly great. Having the heroes and villains team up is a time honored cliche of storytelling but this one makes it work without removing Dooku's threat and malice as well. It's a strong dynamic that ends well too, even if the road getting there was a bit bumpier then I could have wanted.
Wow!!! I thought Jar Jar was normal terrible, but the voiceover actor for him this episode was no where near correct. I can do a better Jar Jar.
The banter between Dooku and the Jedi was pretty funny, and for once I wasn’t completely annoyed by Jar Jar’s antics in this episode. I also found Honda’s search for honor in the midst of war to be a good touch, an intriguing theme to show a young audience.
Any episode with Jar Jar is destined to fail. The story line following Dooku and the Jedi though was decent!
Dooku joins the cunt off and its glorious. I love seeing Anankin and Obi Wan tag team. It really demonstrates how Anakin learned all of his little shit behaviour from Obi Wan
I do wish the Hondo story paid off a little better. I thought he would learn of his men's betrayal in some way.

Really a tale of two halves of an episode here. Obi Wan and Anakin having to team up with Dooku to try to escape the pirates (or brigands(?) apparently) was an entertaining odd-couple (odd-trio) adventure that had an interesting dynamic which gave shading and great character moments to all involved. Plus, Dooku's eventual exit was one of the most legitimately and starkly frightening moments on a show that doesn't shy away from the costs of war, but is usually pretty discreet about it. Again, it was one of the better storylines on this show so far.
But the other half was a Jar-Jar half, which, eh, what are you going to do? Jar-Jar's Mr. Magoo routine either works for you or it doesn't, and I'm squarely in the "doesn't" camp. I have to admit that hearing him voice by Phil Lamar was a little distracting, but otherwise it was mostly just a tale of his clowning his way to victory. I did appreciate that his buffoonery had a cost (again, I appreciate that for a kids' show, Clone Wars isn't afraid to show that lives are on the line, even if those lives tend to be secondary characters), and the Clone Troopers deciding to use his Goofy-like propensities against the pirates was a neat wrinkle. Nevertheless, this was very much the lesser of the two intersecting stories in this episode.
