Now this felt like a classic The X-Files episode. Sure, not as good as the old ones, but it just had that familiar feeling. Good one!
Another classic style episode, so good
So, how about doing just normal x-files episodes and forget about the big mystery ?
THIS. Classic X-Files. I missed it. I love it. MORE...
Love this one. Let's hope the series gets closure finally, since Anderson wants out. Chris Carter won't do more without her. So let's hope the season doesn't have a silly cliffhanger like last season. And that they filmed a fitting ending.
Oh! Great ep! Very great performance from the actress who plays the psychic twins! That could have been a movie! And we back at the Mulder Scully romance! Oh man.... They really playing with us with that haha.
Chris Carter, the absolute madman, shows he's not entirely creatively bankrupt with his writing this episode, along with some deft direction by Kevin Hooks.
I actually thought this was quite good. I loved the interactions between Mulder and Scully, and i loved them investigating this case. Their interactions were heartwarming, and some of the dialogue had existential weight to them like when they were talking about their aging and what they're gonna do.
The villainous actions were quite creepy sometimes, but the villain characters themselves were over the top, and i didn't like the villains killing each other rather than Mulder and Scully stopping them.
Scully and Mulder struggle with age for some reason as a twin sister and brother psychically murder people playing games of Hangman. It's as disjointed as it sounds. There was no reveal about how the twins perform such miraculously evil acts while Scully and Mulder flirt with each other.
Secondary characters in this episode: none
Hanky panky for the team, yeah!
Classic x-file!! Psychological thriller mixed with supernatural thriller, sort of a Death Note thing as well. The Sculder romance is still a bit eh this season and that bed-talk was kinda awkward, but the rest of the episode was solid, those twins did a good job, very captivating episode!
then she flung dookie at us...
While I much prefer the classic Monster of the Week format over this silly alien-plague plotline, does anyone else find almost everyone out of character in this season? And that the writing is incredibly awkward? I don't know if Chris Carter has just lost his mojo or if he simply no longer cares enough to really try, but it's clunky and offputting. I'll probably finish out the season just because it's the last (it must be if Gillian's leaving), but ehhh. I'm really not feeling it thus far.
Mulder always knows the right words to say to keep Scully comforted. What a sweet guy! :-)
With only 6 episodes in a season, it’s upsetting to have a filler episode like this.
