It was irreverent, hilarious, vulgar, extremely violent, bloody, and had some of the best, most hilarious and unexpected cameos ever in a superhero movie. If you’re already a fan of Deadpool you’ll love it.

If you love the X-Men and are steeped in their history, the Easter eggs are off the chart. I think it might reference in one way or another, maybe every Marvel movie ever made. It also has perhaps the greatest moment of misdirection in a cameo reveal that I can ever remember seeing in a movie.

For a grown up nerd like me, it was spot on, and very in line with the previous two Deadpool movies. I like meta humor and this was full of it.

Potential drawbacks: it leans so heavily into the Wolverine relationship that the characters you loved from the first two movies are hardly in this one.

It is SO VIOLENT, bloody and full of F-bombs that there’s not a lot of people I would feel comfortable watching it with, and honestly, I am a little disappointed that because of Marvel/Disney marketing, kids who are WAY too young to see this are going to want to so badly.

If you’re not a fan of Ryan Reynolds’s style of comedy, or if you don’t like it when characters constantly break the fourth wall, then I could see it wearing very thin very quickly.

But if not, go see it with your nerd buddies, have a blast and a bunch of laughs!
