Gun Fu, Gun Porn, Stylized Ultra violence, call it whatever you want, but, one thing is certain, John Wick 3 delivered it all, and then brought you second and third helpings. Tom Cruise gets a lot of cred for doing his own increasingly elaborate stunts for each M.I. installment, but I'll see you EVERY stunt the couch jumping Mr. Cruise has done his ENTIRE career, for the first two action sequences in this movie ALONE! Also, Keanu Reeves isn't just harnessed to a plane or rappelling down the side of a building and leaping across roof tops. Reeves weapons handling and combined intricate fight sequences aren't the result of Steven Seagal style quick cuts, Fast and Furious edits, post SFX, or tricky camera angles to disguise whats actually happening. It's VISCERAL, because the camera lingers on the mayhem so that the viewer can savor each strike, slash, stab, and gunshot, and ALL the accompanying carnage. Not in Sam Peckinpah slo-mo, but in real time, yet, somehow, one is still able to take it all in, and then the sequence would end, just about the same time you remembered to BREATHE!

Yes, it's over the top, but this is the world John Wick inhabits. A culture of hired assassins, an entire society, existing just beneath the surface of the one you and I can see, the one the rest of us inhabit. A society with rank and file members, management, service, and executive classes, and RULES. And it is the rules, which have kept order from devolving into chaos for hundreds of years, that have made them "different from the animals".
For the love of his deceased wife, a car, and a puppy, John Wick reached his proverbial "last straw". (John Wick 1) For his loyalty to a blood oath, which was broken, he violated a cardinal rule, and was marked for death. (John Wick 2) Yet, using those same rules and oaths, (and his particularly unique set of skills) he was able to braid for himself a life-line, tenuous as it was, but a life-line nevertheless. The powers that be cannot allow that to happen, and seek to intimidate, punish, and if necessary eliminate each of those who extended him a thread of that line, even if they technically only "stretched" the rules. What they have failed to realize is that John Wick's reputation as the "Baba Yaga", the proverbial Boogie-man, is not only well earned, but, if anything, it is UNDER stated.
Those who were paying attention saw that we actually DID get quite a bit of origin/back story on the eponymous Mr. Wick, as well as a glimpse into the world of the contract killers, as to how the contracts are put out, and the hierarchy that pulls the strings behind the scenes. I look forward to seeing this expanded upon in future installments
Kudos and Props this installment to Iron Chef Mark Dacascos and a host of other Asian Martial Artists as the closest thing John has to true competition, yet, they are at the same time fanboys who geek out at getting a chance to fight him.
To Halle Berry, for NAILING her fight sequences, then being a trooper and not quitting when her scenes cost her a couple of broken ribs. Her character obviously has some issues with the menfolk, considering how many she shot in the "kibbles and bits. Also props to the trainers of her two pups, and the stunt men for allowing same said puppers to gnaw precariously close to their kibbles and bits until she shot them. OUCH!

To Laurence Fishburne, for making sure that Neo still has Morpheus as a Mentor, even if you "sometimes have to cut a Mo Fo".. All we need now is Carrie-Anne Moss' Trinity to show up in the inevitable Part 4, and all will be right in the Universe. (make it happen writers)
10 out of 10 - Best of the 3 so far IMO
I NEED MORE

Over the top murdering mayhem, it's John Wick. 10.
Even better than the first two. The horse kills! The weapon shop! More Fishburne! Lance Reddick (RIP to the GOAT) kicking ass! Zero and the twins being the best antagonists yet, intimidating yet affable and charming and home to the best fight scenes! I love this series

4th/5th INSTALLMENT
COS NOW HE'S PISSED
YEAH........
10/10 TOTALLY NINJA
Just as much a blast on a second watch. John Wick, like its titular protagonist, knows what it does it perfectly. If you want high octane action, there's few better, and the characters are wild and charismatic enough to leave an impression.
This action was very good, wow i never seen so much action, but this, this is very good.
But i dont understand something:at final John Wick is shot and thrown out the window by Winston and he still survive and John Wick is travel with a homeless at Bowery King.
Yeah i will never understand what happend at final but still is more good then John Wick 2.
My favorite one out of the three. This movie requires a 4K tv or better. Dolby digital surround sound and a beefy subwoofer are also a must!
Bring on John Wick 4.
My wait ended today. Never felt better. Thank you Mr. Wick. До свидания.
you simply can not find a way of killing Jonathan Wick hasn't tried.
this is what action means
I'm Not A jhon wick's fan, but this movie is just woow best action movie ever for me!!!
simply perfect. Great action scenes
A lot of action and suspense was very good!!
loved the movie! I definitely did find the most brutal out of the three
Better action movie than Endgame. Fite me.
Forgot to add. Loved the dogs. They were great.
JOHN F***ING WICK! You really don't mess with the Baba Yaga.
Although losing the novelty from the first one this is a really action packed kick ass movie.
The fights are tremendous and a monstrous scene with Sofia and her dogs... One of the best ever!
The dialog isn't nothing to write home about but this is an action movie and it delivers on all counts.
Some new characters are a worthy addition and I'm really fired up to see where this goes.
i love John Wick and Keanu Reeves
Halle Berry and the dogs stole the show
John Wick is really propelling itself as one of the best action franchises every made. The groundwork has been laid down for the final chapter, at least that is what I expect. When you think that John can let his guard down for one minute, he gets kicked down even lower. Chapter 3 is another blast with action scene after action scene. Dogs, Motorcycles, epic shoot out, John Wick throwing knives, backstabbing, cutting off a finger and falling off buildings.
This is the best in the franchise so far and damn, can't wait for 2022. Hopefully John Wick feels very, very bad.
The start was a bit slow, but the middle... Damn! I loved it. I would've loved to see more of Sofia, though, she seemed like a great character. Other than that, The ending felt like a stab in the heart... I can't wait to see the 4th one. That fucking betrayal...
Best so far. More action with stories crossing over and allegiances changing. Some good funny moments, can't wait for number 4, can it get better, I hope so.
3 to 1… fingers I mean!!
Must be the funniest short scene in all the movie.
A story that continues exactly where the previous movie left off, there isn't much development or big twists, but even so, the characters make all the difference, they're brilliant.
The action scenes are incredible, the choreographed fights hold your attention, everything is really well done, you're gripped from start to finish.
In "Parabellum," the "John Wick" formula was finally perfected. Here, every action sequence is really like a work of art in its own right. Every shot looks like a painting and plays with various lighting moods. Furthermore, the sequences are even more varied, both in terms of weapon selection and the use of vehicles. I also liked the villains much better than in the second installment. The story, on the other hand, has now finally arrived in Absurdistan. But since I can't take it seriously anymore anyway, I honestly don't care. As long as John Wick works as a character and the fights are awesome, I'm perfectly happy.
How much smashed glass is too much smashed glass? Asking for a friend...
'John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum' is my favourite of the three films from the franchise thus far. It's longer than any of the preceding two, yet I found the pacing in this one to be absolutely spot on. Apart from that, and one or two other things, it is similar to its two predecessors - and that's most definitely a major positive. The look of the films are stunning.
The manic fight scenes remain just as entertaining as before, though I feel like here there's more creativity in using the enviroment around the characters - e.g. with the dogs. It felt like more of the fights had a start/end, whereas before it seemed all rolled into one - to me, anyway. Not that the latter is a bad thing, mind.
This entry I think has my favourite scene of the entire franchise, and it's the near the beginning with Reeves' John and Randall Duk Kim's Doctor. So well shot and edited, made me laugh too! There are many good moments in these films, but that's the standout for me.
Class again is Keanu Reeves, I have nothing more to add to what I've said previously - perfect actor for the role. Elsewhere, cool to have Ian McShane and Laurence Fishburne again, while newcomers Halle Berry, Mark Dacascos and Asia Kate Dillon are all pleasing additions to the series.
There isn't a major gap in-between these films in my mind. I gave the other two 8/10 ratings, but this 2019 release is only narrowly ahead of the flicks from 2014 and 2017. More importantly, though, the franchise as a whole is great fun. Bring on 4 & 5 - and that Berry spin-off, heck gimme the 'Nobody' crossover!
This chapter did a far better job of balancing the action with having some plot and dialogue. We also get more interesting characters than last out, who, while we don't get particularly attached to them, they leave enough of an impact to be memorable, and feeling like real characters rather than live-action stock characters.
The action is quite enjoyable, although sometimes it feels a bit undercut by a different approach to the fighting dynamics, which, while enjoyable, isn't usually what we tune into John Wick movies for. However, it was a welcome surprise to see some fight scenes that show us that John Wick isn't invincible, and some folks will give him trouble during fights, and in fact, he might not be able to kill anyone he wants to on demand like a superhero.
The first John Wick was an amazing surprise that I loved. The sequel injected just enough energy to keep it fresh. John Wick 3... is just pure, undeniably awesome, headshot-filled carnage. Watching this on 82" in 4K with Dolby Atmos shaking the house is the only way it should be watched. If action is what you're craving, this is a 7 course meal. Keanu Reeves is just showing off now. And the scenes where he's teamed up with Halle Berry and a pair of attack dogs? I could watch that for days. The choreography of the fight scenes is perfect and I never felt like I was losing track of what was happening (which is a common problem with many modern actioners). This teases the forthcoming fourth installment in the series post-climax and I simply cannot wait to see how they could possibly top this. Honestly, Parabellum is easily the best action movie I've seen in a couple of years.
I haven't had such fun in my living room for a long time, which is both sad and happy at the same time.
Random thoughts throughout the movie:
• it's always rainy in NYC.
• Poor Bronn won't f@ck anybody anymore. He would have, he's just physicaly can't.
• Apparently, Catwoman was a dog person all along, and her movie was bad because of cats(?)
• Daaaaame, this Casablanca palace fight scene with doggos as CO-OP. Sweet, sweet stuff.
• Ninjas are a cat people, because cats are also quiet and you can't see them until it's too late and your life is ended near a dumpster.
• When someone is going through the desert he's not that interested with shade, because if he does he could go in the shadows casted by those huge dunes.
• The man above the table is younger than JW? and he also enjoys all his power just by knowing he has it, unless the dude has a camel-express from the "place you get when your about to draw your last breath and then keep going" to everywhere else.
• John Wick Assassin's Creed corss over confirmed - in chapter 4 John finds out that Altaïr is on of his ancestors, and that it's a family tradition to cut a finger for the hidden blade.
• Hashish smellers, that's nice.
• Knives are one of the loudest weapons, especially when drawn.
• John Wick 4 and the Matrix 4 are to be the same movie, because guns. Lots of guns.
• Sharon. but you pronounce it like Sharona without the 'a' at the end. Which is how it sounds when you speak Hebrew, so... that's nice too.
Let’s make one thing perfectly clear. This is a movie you watch for the action and not much less. But then, that not really a surprise is it?
The movie takes off literally minutes after the last one ended. John Wick is on the run and that’s the story for most of the movie. Well, not entirely. He does have a plan but first he has to escape the many assassins trying to cash in the 14 million dollar bounty on his head.
This movie is all about action. The movie is R-rated although I honestly do not understand why. Sure there’s lot of action and a lot of killing but still, I wouldn’t say it merits an R-rating and apparently the French ratings organisation didn’t either since here in France it France it got a 12+ rating. That is, it is only restricted for those younger than 12 years.
Anyway, as I wrote above, this movie is all about Keanu Reeves and action. Lots and lots of action which usually ends up in one or more persons getting killed by John or some of his remaining friends.
Is the story and the action realistic? Hell no! But it is fun to watch even though most of the bad guys shoots as accurately as imperial storm troopers. Most of the time at least.
Towards the end I did think it got a bit silly. The fight against Zero and his last two students was pretty rubbish. It was kind of kick, hack and slash for a few minutes and then stand of and wait until the other guy got up again. Then rinse and repeat. Silly indeed.
Also, they could really tone down on the ludicrous survivability of John Wick. I mean, come on! He gets hit by cars and walks away. Not to mention the final scene were he falls something like six seven floors, bounces (and I mean bounces!) off a fire escape and a trash container and apparently survives.
I probably should rate the movie a star less for that kind of stuff but I wont. This is something as refreshing as a Hollywood movie apparently meant to entertain and nothing else. There’s really no political or social preaching or any other such nonsense which is really rare today. That alone gives it a few extra stars in my book.
The movie has a 7.7 rating on IMDb at the time of writing this which is well deserved, even a bit low. Even the rubbish SJW site Rotten Tomatoes claims the movie is “fresh” which is surprising given what I wrote above.
Of course there is a whole bunch of “reviews” that claims it is so bad and so on and so forth. Some of these reviews are actually repeated several times. That really pisses me off since these people seem to write reviews just to complain. It’s the third movie in the Franchise for Christ sake! You knew what you were getting yourself into. Don’t watch the movie if you do not like these kind of movies. Claiming there is no story is bullshit since the first one didn’t really have much more story but then the concept was bit more new of course. Some “reviewer” claimed it was the worst movie he had ever seen. He cannot have seen many movies then. What a load och bollocks!
Bottom line, this was two hours of great entertainment.
John Wick fans will surely be entertained. Non stop action.
Still THE go-to movie franchise for high paced action entertainment.
Only reason I am not giving it a "10" is to separate it from part 1 which I still liked best.
If you love violence then this is the one! Keanu Reeves, great actor and Awesome HUMAN BEING! Lovejoy and Jerome in the same movie, what more could you ask for? The Brits are taking over lol
What. A. Movie.
I firmly believe this is a continuation of The Matrix, without the deep philosophical thoughts... this is my headcanon now. Where they restarted a different version of the Matrix with him as John Wick.
"I need guns. Lots of guns."
This is what you get when instead of putting action scenes in a movie you put the movie in a long action scene.
It's more of John Wick. There is some absolutely insane action. There were quite of few times I audibly gasped. The story this time starts fine but it seems like this one is more focused on the action than the world and characters. Still this is an action fan's dream and I can't wait to see more John Wick.
No other movie does action as well as the John Wick movies. It is just non stop bat shit crazy action to the point of exhaustion.
same story; same action; repeat => good recipe , worth watching in the movie theater
negative points : the man in the desert was useless ; zero tried to be funny but was not so entertaining ; some bad acting by supporting cast
Winston: "What do you need?"
John Wick: "Guns. Lots of guns."
Underdevelopped story for sure but Parabellum certainly delivers on the action... So much action that it might feel repetitive for some but I won't complain about too much action in an action movie. They keep upping the action sequences and the choreography is just amazing, an improvement from the first two on that. Beautiful sets, my favorite was the glass part of the Continental. The knife fight at the beginning and the one with the dogs were the best. A lot of the action is physical comedy and it works great. I definitely felt the runtime and i'm getting a little tired of Wick being invincible, can't at least one person beat him in a combat? I hope we get to see Halle Berry and Common's character (which wasn't in this one sadly) again in another sequel. The final act sure builds Chapter 4 to be epic, so many possibilities of where this goes and who sides with who.
All the gun inflicted deaths in the world and the scene that got me was a casually torn-off ballet dancer's toe nail.
The franchise keeps getting better
With Chad Stahelski back in the director's chair for the third time, as with the previous films, Parabellum is built on the foundation of Sir Keanu of Reeves's zen-like stoicism, a quality he can deploy to make a violent sword fight look about as stressful as sleeping on silk linen with "Fur Elise" playing in the background and a cat gently purring on the pillow beside you. And although this third entry in the franchise does flirt with a few themes amidst the mayhem (honour, fealty, destiny), it's not trying to be something it isn't, well aware of its own identity as a completely over-the-top orgy of violence. This is a world wherein even the most innocuous of items can be rendered lethal, and where the endless deaths by gun, knife, fist, dog, horse, motorbike, sword, pencil, and book of 18th century Russian folklore, are so excessive as to transcend any possible accusations of irresponsibility or glorification of violence. In short, the film leans into its status as basically a live-action episode of Itchy and Scratchy. Sure, it can become a little repetitive at times, and there's next to no plot or character development, so if you want to be reductionist, you could argue that it essentially gives us more of the same, except bigger, louder, and more elaborate. But that's to ignore how aesthetically accomplished it is, how funny it is, how compelling it is, and how unapologetically entertaining it is.

I’m just a sucker for this series.
Still, if the novelty of Reeves’s persona, the unbelievably stylish direction, and absolutely brutal violence portrayed in uniquely clear and long takes, has worn off at all, it hasn’t by much.
The third installment drip-feeds a few more intriguing details of lore. The sequence introducing two dogs into the fighting is one of the best in the series.
My only real complaint was the power-creep sequence in which Wick has to take on big dudes in big armor that just makes them harder to kill. To me it just felt like the movie briefly abandoning what makes its action so great.
Who cares, really, though. Give me number 4.
John Wick has easily become my favorite shoot-em-up franchise. I hope there will be more. The gun ballet that Keanu performs is a delight to watch.
Does not disappoint! Elaborate fight sequences! From start to finish this film has you hanging from the edge of your seat. Never say boring!
The first John Wick has more of a story than the better rated sequels. That doesn’t mean I don’t love the sequels. This one especially is just about John having a hit on his head and that’s it.
But that does work since all the scenes of him fighting for his life. Are creative and entertaining fight scenes.
A really good action movie with awesome fight scenes, a must see of 2019.
The bad : Halle Berry part, the ending.
I love Keanu Reeves and all of his movies but it was at that moment when the franchise went silly and turned to :poop:, to no fault of his own.
And that's what we like in this kind of cinema, it was like a good FPS game, with some good plot and kung-fu like from The Matrix. ;)
fight scenes are top notch.
Great action sequences. Higher stakes. My favourite John Wick movie of the trilogy so far.
"He shot my dog"
"I get it"
He is back again....always love to see Keanu in action...loved to discover more about the world of John wick....so far chapter 2 is my favorite in the John wick saga...but always loved the new action ideas in every chapter...less drama and more action...this is really something i would gladly call my cup of tea.....
Story: 7/10...more interesting than chapter 2 but not as novel as the original.
Dialogue: 7/10...still an improvement on the first installment but forfeited the chance to really develop the assassin's world lore with a better script.
Performances: 8/10...the Halle Berry addition was good, but a couple other new characters were real bland or miscast or something
Misc.: 8/10...continues to expand on the awesomeness. Motorcycle fighting! Horses! A company lawyer!!! The last part kinda sucked actually. The whole adjudicator nonsense was not scary or cool or anything.
Overall: 8/10...still not tired of JW. Where do we go next!!
With the usual rhythm, pure action, almost without breaks (the few there are for memories, sarcasms and epic dialogues) and a single final result: they have pissed off the Belarusian.
The film is exactly as I expected it to be. There was a decent story, a lot of injuries which he shouldn't be able to overcome so quickly and a lot of amazing fight scenes. Oh, and the setup for the next movie(s). I am generally not a fan of this genre but these films are very well made.

Even though the third chapter in the John Wick saga is probably the weakest in the series story-wise, the cinematography, the fight choreography, and the overall "style" of the movie is a step up from the already rather good second instalment.
I quite enjoyed the third chapter and are looking forward to the next one. Maybe a little work on the acting skills on some of the actors and hire better writers, but I'll be sure to watch it none-the-less.
John Fuc%ing Wick, that is it.
So the 1st film made a lot of sense as to why he came back and did what he did. The second part was a bit more indept but it did sway from the original reason. I gotta say with this 3rd film... it helps tie up the first and second part of the films. The ending of this film wasn't a huge shock, but definitely unexpected. Worth watching again!
The most impressive of the 3 so far.
Quite astonishing fight sequences, brilliantly choreographed with very original and clever set-pieces.
Some of the script is hokey. The plot is a bit thin. It's a little repetitive in the action sequences.
But overall it's a very impressive and brilliantly executed action movie.
My favourite of the 3 if not necessarily the best on merit.
I liked it more than the second movie. It had dog stunts, halle berry, as well as a good mix of dark humor and action and choreography. The choreography was amazing and the in-between fights had just the right amount of theater, drama, and comedy to make it interesting. John Wick 3 definitely balances everything that makes the franchise good and made a better movie than #2.
Call it a guilty pleasure, but the action here is superb, no one can deny it. Still, I'd like to se a little more of plot and less unrelenting fight scenes.
You can see why the action is really good when it doesn't get boring or weared off at all during the entire movie.
John Wick 1: 9
John Wick 2: 10
This one: 8 (for the lack of a good story)
The pistol scene is awkward
Guns, lots of guns. Fuck yay :-D what a nice touch.
Gun play, headshots.. err, more gun play and more headshots! Attack dogs, Halle Berry.. Uh, throwing knives!
Do yourself a favour and go see John Wick at the cinema, the sound engineering for the gun play sequences alone is worth it.. and just when you think they can’t out do themselves with the action sequences, they do.
"John Wick 3. Fun. Lots of fun."
A high octane thriller that stays true to its origins. Keanu Reeves rocks Wick once again as violence catches up with him. The cinematography is amazing and the action is top notch. If you enjoyed the first two, you'll enjoy this.
As to be expected the action is phoneomeal, but expecting great action dosen't even begin to describe some of the action and fight scenes in this film it's truly amazing. Now im gonna get into somewhat {spoiler} territory because as great as this film is and as phoneomeal as the action is this film has flaws. The movie is quite long and as entertaining as it is most of the time it can drag at times. That being said while the movie was going on I was thinking I hope they wrap this up in the third even tho I enjoy all 3 John Wick's they all take place in a short spand of time so the story does seem to standstill a lot of times so the action can take place which can be annoying. Although im sure i'll watch John Wick 4 and probably really enjoy it it's time for this franchise to wrap up it's getting to the point where it's been 5 years since the first movie and we've seen about 2 weeks worth of events happen and it still feels like were not very close to the end. This one in particular did probably the worst in storytelling due to action being the only thing really keeping the storyline moving. Don't mean to talk this negative about the film because I did enjoy it I just don't really like the way the franchise is going it seems the studio would rather get another paycheck than tell the story correct.
2h of raw killing. If putting knife into eye is too much for you consider if you wanna see this movie. You need to watch the previous one to understand what going on it this one.
After the second film, they kept hammering home the consensus that John is now wanted for murdering a fellow assassin in the sanctuary. The plot doesn’t evolve from this fact for until the end and suffers from its characters unlike the first two films. What I could salvage as a positive was the reliable action and effects that we all love this series for.
It’s good but just not as good as the prequels.
Made me realize how unoriginal many aspects of Chapter 4 are.
30 minutes too long. Otherwise very good.
After my second watch of this 3rd part I'm surprised that my memory lied to me in the way I used it to remember this movie as the one that was 85% guns and 5% story, but well, it's not, yeah there's a ton of fight, guns, blood and everything, it still could've been lowered to a more realistic level, but we enjoyed it. In the other hand yes it has a decent story, with some inconsistentcy in itself and some not logical choices from John, but well, it became a bit sci-fi at this point so let's enjoy Kaneu and see what the 4th installment bring for us! Btw, good plot twists at the end ;)
lots of time wasting fighting scenes
The whole armour thing where he has to shoot them 10 times made me lose my interest. How they take hits and not even blink removes the realism which the series always had. The beginning of the movie had some very good combat scenes imo
Entertaining but somehow feels less than the sum of its previous instalments, the story here is pretty weak with some really weak new characters and dialogue. The action is very entertaining but some sequences can be overly long with the same moves played out again and again.
Glad I watched it, enjoyed it but wouldn't watch again.
There's action - lots of action - though the story is pretty thin. Still, this is enjoyable enough, and if you enjoyed the others in the series, you will probably love this.
Some random thoughts:
- I like how John Wick's signature moves stop to work in this movie, how his enemies start to know how to counter him. And how he has to get more creative - which means kicking his foes' balls. Well, whatever works...
- Zero (Mark Dacascos) (Japanese fanboy / wannabe-nemesis) is practically saying "Recognize me, Senpai" and I'm stunned that no one has made a meme. What's up, internet?
- Seeing Charon kick ass is awesome! Guess you need some Killing 101, if you want to stay in the business.
- Sofia (Halle Berry) and her two killer dogs are overpowered. But now I really get why they were wearing body armor. Still, I would have thought that John would be more sympathetic towards Sofia's dog being almost shot to death... Maybe he's angry he didn't think of body armor for his dog?
- Regarding the organization: It's basically Assassin's Creed without the Gods and somewhere along the way they finally got rid of the Templars? In my opinion (and therefore it is fact) is John Wick an alternate timeline for Assassin's Creed.
- And how could I forget the follow-up to the classic pencil kill: the book kill or book fu. Also: horse fu.
I enjoyed the movie, it's a little better than the second one but it has some problems like overextended actions scenes that it gets boring at some times. Top 3 so far: Thr first one, third one and the second one.
Lesser than 2. I feel like John Wick is becoming the action guy, with a lot more quipping, which i dislike. 1st act was strong.
It was better than the second, it upped it’s action with some cool and brutal fighting scenes and was fun to watch. A 299 kill count all together between all the films ha i feel the picture and camera work is a little strange and just doesn’t fit right and I can’t take John Wicks run seriously, looks like he’s limping with high heels on ha I feel the franchise is going over the top now with its plot and his character and feel it’s just overrated and getting cheesy and should of ended on the first one.
The benchmark for action movies but it started wearing thin imo. It doesn't help that the best action scenes all took place in the first half.
In agricultural sites it is often said: you are more gross than a plow, you have to change the phrase by: you are more gross than John Wick. "What do you need? Weapons, many weapons." With a lot of everything, I liked it a lot, waiting for the next
Keanu is decided to kick ass here and he will continue to do so. Even if the story is not at its best, all the work of the assassins and the fighting scenes is really outstanding. Glad to see known faces here: Halle berry and her dogs really kick ass, Jerome Flynn and his little roll and the guy for Wonder Woman (I can't remember his name sorry) I was glad to see here. I liked the movie, a bit long for my taste but definitely enjoyable! Will be going to the cinema for the fouth one!
Third part was exactly was i expected! Script was the only week part from this movie but unfortunately is important.Directing,Choreography, fights scenes and the whole atmosphere was great you really going to like it.7.5/10
P.S Accept that fact that JOHN WICK is slowly become a superheroe and enjoy it :)
Like a roller coaster with the biggest hill at the outset. The beginning is fast paced and exciting but it's all downhill from there. Fortunately, it's a roller coaster, so even when it's slower it's still quite fun.
John Wick fanboys write a John Wick film
The weakest script, terrible one liners, and some extremely predictable pathways. It's still entertaining as far as action goes because the entire movie other than say 10minutes of "backstory" are filled with it, but that doesn't make it a good movie.
How many times do you need to shoot someone? These movies are getting worse and worse.
The book fight, the horse chase and the attack dogs were amazing, but the majority of the fun was in the first 30 minutes. As John Wick gets into larger fights, the weapons get bigger and the body count swells. After a while, you just get desensitized by all of the killing. There's head shots, eye stabbing, skull stabbing, axes to the head, it all gets exhausting and the final half hour is a grind.
We learn about John Wick's back story and several layers of organized crime are revealed. None of this really matters other to put more bounty hunters on Wick's tail. I like Keanu as much as anyone, but three Wick movies is enough and since this movie has no ending, there's obviously more to come.
Action packed movie, if you are looking just for action, then this is your movie. Every 15 minutes there is an action scene. Sometimes for me it was too much. But it's enjoyable if action is all you are looking for.
Yet another family comedy movie, but some action elements.
All you need to know about world setup:
- 5% of the total population are assassins
- people are don't really care about neither being killed nor watching someone getting killed
- everyone tries to kill John Wick
- no one really wants to kill John Wick
- the best way to kill someone is actually least efficient but the most spectacular, at least when it comes to killing John Wick
Overall actions were good enough, comedy was good at some points. But I can't bring myself to rate this more than 6, because it is just so average family-comedy-action movie.
Lacks story and consistency. Sure you can say you don't watch this movie because of the story but only because of the action. But in my eyes the first two parts are clearly superior to the third one. John Wick was "a man of focus", all of is actions had a certain goal and were inherently consistent. Not so in this part, John is left as a confused old man without any clear path to follow, he's straying around, grasping each straw, using up all favors that several people in the world owe him, one after the other, leaving only scorched earth and loads of dead corpses (as of course expected).
Although, John is not always aware of the consequences of his actions (e.g. when refusing the marker in part 2) and in his fighting behaves like an instinctively controlled predator, he has is moments of great foresight and strategy (planting weapons used during the escape after killing Gianna, or consider the many stashs filled with weapons, coins and personal belongings). I really hope John will find his focus again in part 4 otherwise it will space out into the dull shoot-out which the movie, when viewed objectively, actually is.
Winston: “Si vis pacem, para bellum.” [Latin translation: If you want peace, prepare for war]
This is my least favourite of all the John Wick movies because, by the end, I was exhausted. I also didn’t think they used the concept of the whole Assassin world going after Wick to its full potential. Despite that, the action is still superb, and I’m glad the series is taking it less seriously.
Meh - not terrible. But, the fight scenes seem to drag on - especially the ones in the weird funhouse mirror room. How many weird glass skull displays can they break?
Halle Berry and the dogs stole the show.
Shot twice in the chest, falls 4 stories, hits his head twice, still survives..... ummm OK.
The fights often enough don't make sense.
The "politics" (aka plot) almost never makes any sense.
And the flair of the setting was overused, even more so than in the second part already. The "hotline" with some people taking notes about the new status, triggering the alert for all the killers out there ... yawn. Yet Stahelski seems to love this filler so much, it had to appear multiple times in the third movie.
The hand combat lacked punch, seemed slow/tired. Also, why does he walk/run like he shat himself?
Drawn inspiration from every action sub-genre, John Wick 3 Parabellum provides seemingly endless amount of guns and gore, great scenes great lighting great locations, old friends... all perfectly right and satisfying. the only problem is that, and as a fan it bothers me to have to point it out: Thats the same complements we gave to john wick 1 & 2.
John Wick’s bloody rampage continues in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. After being declared excommunicado and having a bounty placed on his head John Wick books passage out of the county and uses a marker to call in a favor to help him get a meeting with the man above the table; meanwhile an adjudicator is sent to New York to administer penalties on Winston and the Bowery King for aiding John Wick. The fight scenes are incredibly exciting and action-packed, and are staged in really creative ways. The plot however, is rather lackluster and kind of pointless. There are some interesting additions to the mythos of this assassin world, but nothing that significant; in fact the world feels completely different than the one set up in the first film. Yet despite all its problems, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum is an entertaining and fun action film.
