Arino has risen from his grave to challenge the Genesis class, Altered Beast. While Altered Beast, with its simple auto-scrolling beat-em-up action, is simple by todays standards, the real drama of today's challenge will come from Arino having to deal with a newbie in the director's chair.
Today's TamaGe excursion to a candy store in Nishitokyo is as traditional as it gets. Arino will be checking out this neighborhood staple outfitted with classic games, candy and an elderly owner with a personality to boot.
In this one off segment shot during the recent Shikoku special, 5 of the staff competed in a beach footrace,similar to the one held during the American trip. Will it be the middle-aged Kibe and Arino, the young-gun Takahashi and Watari, or the marathon champ Kan who will take the spoils?
In true Japanese TV fashion this impetus for this episode is a pun. Arino all travel the 4 K's of Shikoku's 4 regions in glorious 4K (presented here in 720p)! Arino will be undergoing his own version of the famous Shikoku Pilgrimage but instead of visiting 88 temples he'll be attempting to play 88 arcade games.
Along the way he'll meet any manner of man, machine and monster much to the chagrin of Kibe. All whilst keeping in mind the goal of 88 arcade games being he makes it to his final destination, a fan meetup in Kagawan theme park.
But of course no travel episode would be complete without a challenge to accompany it. For that challenge Arino will be playing the appropriately themed and named, Kiki KaiKai for the TurboGrafx-16. A predesessor to the Pocky & Rocky games, Arino must guide Sayo-chan on her own pilgrimage in order to release the seven lucky gods. Will Arino conquer feudal Japan? Will luck be on his side? Will there be enough footage? Watch to find out!
Arino is back on track as he tackles the Nintendo 64 classic, F-Zero X. If he wants to be considered a real champion, Arino will have to make his way through the ranks and finish top when it matters most in this futuristic, adrenaline filled racer.
Arino is in a quiet corner of Tokyo for today's candy store focused TamaGe. There are many familiar games to be found inside, and even though the old woman running the place hasn't met Arino before, there's a sense of familiarity about her too.
On this Quiz Famionaire, Arino will need to have a sharp ear as he gradually tries to move closer to the top prize.
Another self indulgent challenge sees Arino take on Pizza Pop! In a take as old as time, Arino must help the pizza delivery boy protagonist make $10,000 in order to buy a diamond ring for his girlfriend. The only things standing in his way are his rival in love Nick and Arino's platforming skills.
It's a tamaGe outing so big it's a two parter in one episode! This time Arino is in Yokohama to check out an arcade that boasts over 100 games and prize machines. Straight out of the gate Arino heads to check out some of the arcade's original prize machine before roping in an unsuspecting shop assistant into the action.
It's time for everyone's favorite, competely original quiz show, Quiz Famionaire! This time Arino is nearing the end game as he attempts to answer questions about Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and Penguins.
