Pretty good choice of a first episode to broadcast in color. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the producers elected to write this script specifically to provide plentiful opportunities for demonstrating the vivid color of the new season.
I usually skip the theme song, but decided to watch it this time because the song was edited for season 2 and the monochrome video montage was upgraded to color. During the song, I realized that the lyrics state it's an "uncharted desert isle", but there are an awful lot of trees! Maybe "tropical" just wouldn't fit in the song?
Anyway, I should be much happier to watch this show now. Getting through all 36 monochrome episodes of season 1 was kind of a slog, partly because black and white TV is so visually uninteresting in this age of full-color HD (or even 4K) television. (I know I'm a whippersnapper for saying that, and I'm expecting "Get off my lawn" remarks. But it's true that I find monochrome TV less interesting.)
