In south London, Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer search for a flat for first-time buyers Adam and Nicole, and a townhouse for world-record-holding rower Kat. Adam and Nicole live with their respective parents and need help to get them living together under the same roof but their home patch has become a pricey part of town, so they've saved for their entire adult lives to get a large enough deposit. They're nervous about spending all that hard-saved cash, but Kirstie manages to find them some hard-to-resist homes. In 2019 Kat was diagnosed with cancer. After going through chemotherapy and being told she was in remission she wanted a new focus, so she joined an all-female trio for an Atlantic rowing challenge. They beat the previous world record by more than seven days, and Kat's next challenge is to put down roots with a townhouse in her beloved south London.

Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer scour the south coast between Southampton and Bognor Regis, where both the tide and the pressure to find properties are running high. Kirstie's couple, Antoinette and Matt, have been renting in Southampton for three years, paying more than £30,000 in the process. They want their money to go into a home they own instead, but their search has been stalled by unsuccessful offers. They're looking for a four-bedroom house with a garden and a living room big enough for two televisions so the pair can enjoy their separate hobbies together. One particular property really hits the mark, but with other interested parties Kirstie must draw on her years of experience to ensure Antoinette and Matt aren't pipped at the post yet again. Meanwhile, Phil is searching in and around charming Chichester with Catherine, who wants a fresh start following the end of her marriage. Three-bedrooms and a short commute to work are priorities, but that narrows the pool of potential.

Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer catch up with couples who they had to get onto the same page. In 2013, Carolyn and Paul wanted to quit renting and buy their own home in London. And in 2014, Anna and Graeme had viewed over 50 properties in southwest Yorkshire but were being held back by Graeme's cautious approach.

The dynamic property duo catch up with two sets of house-hunters who wanted to make the switch from London life to family life. In 2016, Cara and Ben realised that in order to have the space they wanted they'd need to move out of the capital. In 2020, Tom and his Floridian wife Kaitlyn were still house sharing with Tom's old schoolfriend in south London.
