Presented as being part of "World Series Debating", this was the 3rd Annual Comedy Festival Debate. Screened on the ABC and with Campbell McComas as chairman for the night and adjudicated by John (Darcy) Dugan. The teams were Michael Gorton, Jane Clifton and Greig Pickhaver versus Brett Jones, Steve Crabb and Andrew Denton.
