[3.8/10] I will give “The Three Lessons” credit for one thing. It’s at least structurally sound writing to introduce three lessons Kneesa must learn to become chieftess, only for her to display those talents in the quest du jour, without her even realizing it. Otherwise, this one is a chore.
It’s yet another fetch quest on Ewoks which, hey, you gotta find some reason to motivate the teddy bears to go off on adventures. But having to locate more items from more far flung places is getting tired. Each setting had the same basic idea, with Kneesa and Wicket trying to locate the item while having to deal with some kind of antagonistic fauna. The giant praying mantis-esque bugs and the large woodpecker bird didn’t do much for me, and good lord the Trome fellows were beyond annoying.
I’ll confess that I ended up zoning out for a lot of this one. It vacillated between being dull and actively irksome. The killer plants attacking the village were weird because the show couldn’t decide whether they were a real threat or something silly that tickle the feet of the Ewoks. There is, again, a decent undercurrent of Kneesa coming into her own and having the skills and empathy to be a good leader, but it’s lost in a sea of bargain basement cartoon adventuring with no fun or excitement.

The Ewoks defeated Audrey II by showing them the Three Stooges.
