It's the day of the Furchester Talent Show. Phoebe and Elmo sign up all the guests in the hotel to take part - all except one, Harvey P Dull, who claims he doesn't have any talents. But Elmo and Phoebe hear beautiful operatic singing coming from Harvey's room. Harvey reluctantly admits that it was him, but the reason he can't be in the talent show is because he can only sing when he's in the shower. Phoebe and Elmo are sure that they can get him to sing in public.
Funella is very excited because it's time for the Furchester family dinner. But how can they have their family meal and not be interrupted by their guests? Phoebe has a monster idea - why don't they invite their guests to dinner? After all, everyone in the Furchester is like family.
It's night time at the Furchester. Funella tells everyone that once the night manager gets there they can all go to bed, but just at that moment the phone rings. It's the night manager and he's stubbed his toe. Funella will have to act as night manager for the first time ever, but she is so eager to help the guests that she wakes them all up to ask if anyone wants blankets or extra pillows. The guests are not happy. The Furchesters put their furry heads together and think of a way that Funella can be the night manager without waking all the guests up.
A couple of very excitable rabbits check into the Furchester Hotel. The rabbits love to hop up and down, and when they find out that the lift goes up and down, they want that to be their room. As guests take priority at the Furchester Hotel, they let the rabbits stay in the lift. But when John Lemon, a very famous singing fruit, arrives to play on the roof of the hotel, Cookie Monster and Furgus have to carry the piano up the stairs because the lift is occupied. The Furchesters put their furry heads together and think. They need to find another room that goes up and down, so that everyone can use the lift again, and they need to find another way to get the piano up to the roof.
It's the Furchester Horse Jumping Tournament. Phoebe and Elmo are setting up the course for the horses and Furgus is fixing the lift again. Just then a Wild West-style horse arrives - his name is Gidyup and he is the best jumper around. They ask him what his secret is to being such a great jumper, and he tells them that it's all because of his lucky horseshoe. But when Gidyup shows his lucky horseshoe to Elmo and Phoebe, it gets stuck in the broken lift. Gidyup does not want to jump without his horseshoe, but Elmo and Phoebe tell him there must be a way he can jump without it.
A very friendly but accident-prone octopus checks into the Furchester Hotel. As soon as Olivia the Octopus sets foot in the hotel, she starts knocking things and people over. Cookie Monster is announcing the soon-to-be-famous Furchester Cookie Tower, but Olivia cannot keep track of her arms and sends the tower flying. Elmo and Phoebe put their furry heads together and think of a way to help Olivia keep track of her arms so she won't keep knocking things over.
It's just another day at the Furchester Hotel until the Furball, a bouncing, furry monster ball, arrives. Whenever he turns up at the hotel, they all play a game of Furball. It's the best game ever. Furgus and Funella tell Phoebe and Elmo to keep an eye on the Furball and not let him out of their sight. But just at that moment, the Furball disappears.
The Furchester Hotel's Monster Babysitting Service is in full swing, and they are looking after a baby monster called Adrianna. Adrianna is supercute and loves to crawl about everywhere. Her parents can never manage to get her to fall asleep, so they ask if the Furchesters know any tricks for getting a baby monster to sleep. Suddenly all the guests are giving suggestions on how to get Adrianna to fall asleep.
There's a blizzard outside, and a family of Snowballs checks into the hotel - Mr and Mrs Snowball and their daughter, Frostina. Funella gives them the Very Snowy Suite, but when they get up there, it's not very snowy at all. The Snowballs start to feel very warm and they start to melt. But if Funella turns off the heating, all the other guests will be cold. What should she do?
Harvey P Dull wakes up to find the wallpaper falling off the walls of his room. When Funella takes a look, she decides Harvey's room is much too dull and needs a full makeover. Elmo and Phoebe are very excited and start coming up with ideas straightaway. Before Harvey can say anything, they've set to work. But Harvey doesn't want his room changed. He likes it just as it is - he just wanted the wallpaper fixed. How can he tell the others how he feels?
It's the Furchester Cooking Competition, and everyone is very excited to watch Gonger, Cookie Monster and Phoebe cook up their dishes. They have to make chocolate chip cookies and cupcakes, but Phoebe is distracted by all the noise made by Gonger and Cookie Monster, so her cookies and cakes come out all wrong. The Furchesters put their furry heads together to think of a way to help Phoebe concentrate.
One of the Furchester's dog guests, Digby, can't find his favourite toy bone anywhere. It's blue, squeaky and smells of cheese. Funella suggests bringing in a sniffologist and within seconds a dapper dog called Sir Sniffsalot is hunting around the hotel, but he can't find the bone either. Then Phoebe has a monster idea. If they squeeze things, they might hear a squeak and that will be where the bone is.
Funella is unusually nervous because her dear Grandmama is coming to visit. Grandmama was the monster who founded the Furchester Hotel, and when she arrives she is unhappy to see that it's not as monstery as it used to be in her day.
The Furchesters have hung vines around the hotel because a monkey is checking in. Bananas are on the menu and there is a tyre swing in the garden. But the monkey doesn't want to do monkey things at the hotel. He wants to try new things.
Funella and the others catch Monster Pox, a funny illness that only monsters get. It's very contagious and has some very strange symptoms - spots, clucking and disco dancing. As the only non-monster in the hotel, Harvey P Dull is the only one who isn't clucking, dancing and covered in spots. Before he knows it he has to run the hotel by himself and look after all the poorly monsters.
It's the night of the Furchester Fashion Show and Phoebe is checking that everything is in place for the big event. She and Elmo go backstage to check all the clothes are ready to go on the catwalk. Everything is perfect, except a pair of socks has got dirty. Phoebe decides to give them a bath, but the socks refuse to go in the bath because it doesn't look fun. How can Phoebe persuade them that bathtime is fun?
The Furchesters have 1,000 cookies ready for the 1000th guest to claim as a present. The guest arrives - except it's Harvey P Dull. Cookie Monster then has an idea and disappears. A moment later a very suspicious looking guest arrives - it's Cookie Monster dressed up! As the Furchesters try to stop Cookie Monster eating the cookies, the real 1,000th guest arrives, only there are two of them - a chicken and an egg. Which came first?
Isabel dings to say a guest ready to check in, but the Furchesters can't see anyone there. That is until Carla the Chameleon un-camouflages herself. Carla is very quiet and sometimes she can't help but camouflage herself so that people can't see her. Phoebe and Elmo take her up to the Camouflage Suite and Carla is soon blending into her surroundings. But when Furgus comes to bring Carla her towels, he can't see her or hear her and thinks that no-one is in the room. It's a bit of a problem.
Mr Flash, a fabulous peacock with even more fabulous feathers enters the hotel with total pizzazz. Everyone is in awe of Mr Flash's feathers, but when Funella goes to welcome him with furry arms, Mr Flash tells her that he doesn't want his feathers ruffled. Everyone can look, but not touch. Phoebe and Elmo are about to take him up to his room, the Glam Suite, when Funella announces that the Furchester Garden Games are about to start and Mr Flash decides that he'd like to play too.
Gonger makes breakfast for everyone, but the fussy Furchesters aren't happy. Later on, the Furchesters are having a BBQ with their guests. Everyone is really enjoying their food, but Funella thanks Furgus rather than Gonger. Back inside, Harvey P Dull is unhappy there is a crumb on his tray of tea and biscuits. Gonger is fed up and announces he is leaving the hotel.
Funella welcomes two fish guests to the hotel, the Swimalots. Funella goes to take their small travel aquarium up to the Aquarium Suite, but Furgus accidentally drops it and a bit of ceiling falls down in Harvey P Dull's room below. The Swimalots order some fish food using an underwater speaking horn, but Cookie Monster mistakenly thinks fish must like cookies. Meanwhile, the Swimalots notice their speaking horn is no longer under water, and it's now raining in Mr Dull's room.
The Furchesters are dressed in fairytale costumes because it's the Furchester Fairytale Festival! Immediately loads of fairytale characters start to arrive. First are the Three Little Pigs, then Goldilocks and then Little Boy Blue. Elmo can't believe it, all his fairytale heroes are there and there's going to be a grand ball that night! But just then the Big Bad Wolf arrives at the hotel and all the fairytale characters get very worried, as he's already huffing and puffing!
The front desk at the Furchester is covered in wool. Funella announces that she is going to knit everyone a jumper! Just then Furgus arrives with a new Moth guest, Mr Munch and his baby moth larvae. Straight away the larvae start to eat at the wool on the desk. Mr Munch tells his babies to stop eating the wool and that it is not theirs. A bit later on, another guest comes down into the lobby from the lift and says that her blanket is full of holes. Harvey P Dull says that his jacket is full of holes too and so is Furgus's neck tie! Phoebe says that something odd is going on and goes to try and find out what is causing the holes.
Wedding bells are ringing at the Furchester Hotel. In the garden the wedding between an Owl and a Cat has taken place and now it's cake time! Furgus and Phoebe go to get the cake and in the meantime Funella decides to sing a special song that she's written for the occasion. Furgus and Phoebe walk through to the dining room where there is a huge cake waiting for them, but that's not all, Gonger shouts that there's another piece to go on top. It's the biggest, most beautiful cake ever. However it's so big that they have problems getting it through to the garden!
Elmo is practicing riding his bike in the hotel garden, unfortunately Harvey P Dull walks in front of him and Elmo bumps into him. Harvey asks Elmo why he didn't ring his bell and Elmo admits that he doesn't have a bell. Meanwhile, Furgus is very excited. He's managed to buy the very latest in hotel bell technology, the Ding Dong 7.1. Isabel is not happy as she is the hotel bell. After the bell is delivered Funella wants to know what it's going to be used for, so Furgus looks for somewhere for it to go.
The Furchesters are getting ready for the Woof Woof Games, where three special dogs have to take on three dog challenges. As they are getting ready, Jasper, the winner from last year, arrives with his excitable son Sparky. Jasper and the other dogs line up to start the games, but when the announcer shouts 'go' a sleeping cat wakes up and darts into Jasper and he hurts his paw. Jasper has to go to the Doggy Hospital, but as he leaves he says that he wants Sparky to take his place. It is down to Phoebe and Elmo to teach Sparky how to stay focused and remember what he is supposed to do for each event, but it is not so easy because Sparky is just so excitable.
Mr Vincent, a very kind guest, arrives at the Furchester Hotel, Mr Vincent. He is a fish who wears a very big cape, but soon the cape starts to cause problems, knocking things over and getting stuck in the doors. But Mr Vincent seems scared to take it off. Soon it becomes apparent why he wears the cape. Mr Vincent is a shark!
Elmo is practicing for the world hide-and-seek championships, to be held at the hotel. Just then Seeky Suki, the world's best seeker, arrives at the hotel and starts to demonstrate how good she is at finding people. Elmo becomes sad because he really wants to win, but doesn't think he will. But Furgus tells him that when they put their furry heads together they can solve any problem.
Claudia the Crab visits the Furchester Hotel, but when Funella goes to welcome her with furry arms, Claudia accidentally pinches her. Then Elmo goes to give her her key and she accidentally pinches him too. Phoebe has an idea and gets Funella to knit some mittens for Claudia, but then Claudia can't pick up her food. There has to be something else they can do to stop Claudia pinching.
Funella has a very exciting idea for the hotel, Musical Monster Mealtimes! She has booked some instruments to play music in the dining room whilst the guests eat. They are Vi and Beau, a violin and bow, and Clara, a jazzy clarinet. Elmo and Phoebe really want to play for the diners too, but Funella tells them they have to practice first. Unfortunately the instruments aren't used to playing with each other and play completely different tunes. It sounds awful. Elmo and Phoebe have to show them how to play nicely together.
It's Halloween and Elmo and Phoebe are going trick or treating around the hotel dressed as a two-headed monster.
