Can't wait to rewatch and binge this masterpiece (yes, it is a masterpiece work, imo with only 3 episodes in as I wrote this!) after we get all the episodes for this season!

Oz: It's just the best!

This feels like it came immediately after the events of The Batman... gritty, dark, and well executed... excellent castings... can't wait to see the mayhem unfold!

Gotham looks absolutely dirty, depressing and utterly fucked in just the right way.

Now this is what good TV is all about! I was hooked from the first few minutes, what a fantastic portrayal of Penguin by Colin Farrell, and boy you've got to love that plum Masarati

Can't wait to see how this plays out, for me it's a rock solid 10/10 and truly unmissable

Similar to the recent Joker movie, The Penguin strips away the comic book silliness of the villain and grounds them in reality, with a complex and sometimes even relatable origin story. I can't help but cheer them on, despite them being nothing but punching bags for Batman to beat up on in the cartoons and comics.

Aside from that, this would hold its own as a top tier crime / gangster miniseries even without The Penguin branding. For me, this taking place in the Batman universe is just the cherry on the top.

Is it me or is this unwatchable ? Nothing original or interesting , plus the fat suit is just distracting.
I hope Colin Farrell follows up his threat to never wear that suit again.

This show makes me feel like I am Matches Malone watching the crime drama play out from an alley across the street.

I was a bit trepidatious about starting this show and had very low expectations, but in the first episode I was pleasantly surprised.
The acting was on point and the underworld atmosphere captured rather well. Didn't recognize Colin Farrell at all, but his undercurrent
and menacingly 'innocent' portrayal of 'The Penguin' was incredibly good.
Having seen many actors portray this character, from Burgess Meredith, Danny DeVito, to Robin Lord Taylor, I find this portrayal, one of, if not the best.
The others all did an admirable job at the time, but times, and tastes have changed, and I must admit, although as a youth impressed by various portrayals of this villain, in my current era, I can certainly recommend this show, after the 'Gotham' show unfortunately fizzled out, and Colin Farrell's character portrayal. The rest of the cast supported and enhanced the nature of this show admirably too. Give it a watch and you may also be pleasantly surprised.

went in with low expectations since every show nowadays is woke garbage and appeasing to a certain audience. I WAS BLOWN AWAY with how good this is. it's literally chef's kiss. From the atmosphere to the dialog to the setups and payoffs. I really hope it doesn't get cancelled after the first season like a lot of shows.

Utterly original & captivating. Colin Farrell is outstanding as the Penguin. S1 Ep1 was 10/10. Let’s see if the rest follow suit.
