War and peace are no longer solely the domain of men as they once were (or at least seemed to be). This five-episode series explores the role women play in conflicts and tells the stories of females in combat zones, from Bosnia to Afghanistan and Liberia. Among the stories told are Liberian women who took on dictator Charles Taylor and three women in Afghanistan who risk their lives to ensure the rights of women in the nation.
