I've watched all the mini-movies and my score is 2 out of 5.
Wow, what an intro. The oz universe promises to be amazing. Can’t wait for the first film now as that opening 28 mins was sublime. A real dark follow up to the wizard of oz.
First episode rocked. I couldn't be happier about a season based on The Boyz.
Loved the characters and the kids playing them, it's a new generation of actors. Loving the story arch so far. Can't wait for the next episodes.
So, an anthology of short horror films based on Russian works, although I personally saw other allusions in them. Each episode is about something different and in its own unique animation style.
I just don't understand why to release such a movie and promote it through special channels? I was very disappointed by the expectations. Although, what can you expect from a film that was shot in less than a week...
Saw this last night. Perfect Valentines Day movie.
My social media summary coming out of the cinema was "Well, that was ... a movie."
No, it is not any good.
The writing is bad, the acting is terrible. The directing, production & cinematography is pretty blood good actually. Better than I would have expected with how bad other aspects are.
There is no hook. There is no twist. It's just plot setup, then plays out as expected. I doubt this will be a cult classic.
Do watch it if your curiosity gets the better of you.
Don't watch it if you're even remotely not so inclined. You won't miss anything.
Just the trailer, wow.. So this is what you get, when the copyright of a popular childhood character expires?
God the editing on this one is so silly and lazy
First episode was not bad, definitely made me want to watch more.
After watching the pilot episode, i am having mixed feelings about this show. I have a good feeling that this will be a wild ride. So far, so good. Rating it a 10/10 for now, but i will be changing my rating as the season goes.
The most beautiful space documentary ever!
I stumbeled over some clips of cosmos on the NationalGeographic YT channel, I got very curious so I did take a look & awwww man - this is one incredible show.
[10/10] It has the most stunning animations 3D and 2D - just a freaking eye candy!
[09/10] The direction & camera work is superb
[09/10] Narration & moderation by Neil deGrasse Tyson is like honey for your ears, I feel like I'm back in kindergarten listening to a history lesson ^_^
[10/10] And the music - awwww man the music ... takes me right back to "Contact (1997)". You know why? Because it's created by the same composer: "Alan Silvestri" the master of "Back to the future", "Predator", "Avengers", ... If you are a soundtrack geek - this is a MUST HEAR!
I was moved, I was inspired, it made me wonder & joyful.
In 1x07 they even put the oil industry in the pillory (on FOX!).
This show is informative, engaging, & literally amazing.
ENJOY!
For the amount of moments that the main characters are just reciting exposition at each other you're better off reading the script. That at least will save you from watching this obvious cash-in on the 'success' of RIPD. Only the lore (roughly) stays the same between this and the old movie. Other important elements, like humor and a flowing plotline, have been lost. There is no reason I could find to watch this movie. Highly skippable.
A ton of meta humor and cameos make this fun. Not the most inspired work but worth a watch if you like the characters of Jay and Silent Bob.
Hilarious brutal fun with lots of action.
If this isn’t the worst horror anthology ever, I don’t know what is.
