Seasons 1 through 10 or 11, good, if not a great SMART and sexy medical drama with some complicated yet likeable characters to root for. Seasons 12+, a DUMB, ever worsening dumpster fire. From season 12 onwards we lose nearly all of the original characters and replaced with literal lunatics who are horribly unlikeable, have no business being anywhere near the healthcare industry, and their love lives could be described as sex addicts enabling sex addicts with no acknowledgment this is not normal. The ratings keep justifying it's existence, it's a juggernaut in the women demos even after 18 seasons, but why? There are so many better things to bounce to. I get paid to do this and watch it passively so whatever, but most of you do this for free lol
I think this is the best procedural of the 2010s. Spader is the show, he's just phenomenal and owns his role. The action is top notch, especially for network TV. Most of the stories of the week and villains feel special and unique, in fact, I think it's safe to say that the stories of the week are actually better than the larger story arcs. It's an amazing procedural because it does all the procedural things so well: great weekly stories, great weekly characters, and a very strong and likeable lead in Spader.
Sure it's repetitive and formulaic, but watching Jack Bauer kick ass never gets old. I especially like how he just goes straight Rambo a lot of the time in the later seasons.
Absolute chore to watch beyond S1. My recommendation for anyone who still hasnt seen this: watch S1, treat it as a miniseries and run away as fast as you can. I got too deep and the completionist in me demands I hate-watch it. It's hot Georgia garbage from S2 on you'll only grow to hate all the characters and just want everyone to die...except Daryl probably. I'm team horde and extinction now, look at what they did to me!
The grand standing on social issues is out of control from s4 onward. Grey’s Anatomy has also succumbed to this horrible, lazy, LAZY writing. The issues of our time deserve better. Look at Atlanta, that show has literally changed my worldview because of the superb writing, meanwhile Station 19 entrenches me in the opposition! If I was an actor I’d refuse to do some of these bitch and moan monologues as this show would be hurting my career at this point.
For some reason I can't stop watching this garbage...it's a DC YA Fan fiction. A three way merging of suck.
Edit: the fact they refuse to kill anyone off (or rather keep them dead) makes this one of the lamest shows I've ever seen. This takes "no one's ever really gone" to a whole new level.
Fantastic, exciting. This show got me into the sport and I can't wait to see the 2019 season dramatized in season 2.
Edit: the more you get into F1, the more this show is full of $(!T...
This show is a typical CBS sitcom at first glance, but the writing is so much better. It's hilarious, irreverent, and risque without being filthy like 2 Broke Girls. The characters are worth caring about and feel genuine.
I know kids are stupid, but they aren't this stupid right? Clay is such a baby. I still don't buy that he would take FOREVER to listen to all the tapes. Don't even get me started on seasons 2-4, absolute garbage, but fun to make fun of with friends.
Edit: Just realized the insane over-representation of LGBTQ+ people in the show (we aren't THIS prevalent in society!) Is the school built above the gay Hellmouth?
Gundam Wing, Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z on Cartoon Network was the greatest lineup ever on afternoon cable. I didn't really understand the story as a kid, but it's interesting as an adult.
I still can't believe this aired on broadcast television.
What started as an intriguing sci-fi broadcast summer show quickly turned into one of the best so bad it's good comedies on TV.
Not exactly "easy" to watch. Even when dedicating your full attention, it's still incoherent and confusing. We can have a show about schizophrenia without the actual show being schizophrenic, right?
BLOOD RAINS DOWN FROM AN ANGRY SKY! MY CAWK RAGES ON, MY CAWK RAGES ON! - One of my favorite shows of all time. Awesome, badass, hilarious. Watch with subtitles for the hilarious dialogue's full effects.
The spiritual predecessor to Archer. The election in the second season is better than ever, especially in this era of politics.
This show is filthy, occasionally funny. Still can't believe it aired on broadcast tv.
Improv at its finest. Utterly stupid, yet comedy gold.
This show is so underrated, season two has better character development than shows with 10x the resources.
Even if they DID do it, EVERYONE should be furious at the Wisconsin justice system from top to bottom for miscarrying justice.
This might be the original Dhar Mann, but less unhinged. If watching on Paramount+ you are missing the "what the [heck] were they thinking" episodes dealing with white supremacy, abortion, etc. Thankfully Freevee fills in the blanks that CBS would prefer you forgot about. Unless you are Kevin Sorbo, this is background viewing.
This adaptation was properly done. Do I prefer the UK version? Sure, but this is still a fun watch. Discount all the British TV elitist reviews written before the Oct. 7, 2021 premiere.
The best thing about Tim and Eric is the unflinching conviction they have to the story, no matter how bizarre or stupid it is; usually it's both.
If you go into it expecting an extension of the movie franchise, you're going to be disappointed. This show feels like Supernatural if it took itself seriously, in a good way.
They are clearly trying to be Southland, but it ends up being cheesy. The magic of Southland was how gritty and realistic it was, you can't really get that on network television.
It's the best. Ahead of its time.
It seems like this entire story stems from one woman (Serena) being so baby-crazy that she sells out her entire sex to fundamentalist Christians...
These stories are somewhat interesting, but aren't compelling. The cases are pretty clear cut and not much is up for debate. I guess it may challenge your opinion on the death penalty itself by exposing the flaws of the system, not whether they are guilty or deserve the death penalty.
I can allow for some creative leeway for video game adaptations, but get this YA crap out of the show before it ruins it. I was hoping seeing teens exploded by plasma fire was a promising sign but they kept one of these annoying idiots alive and now John has to babysit and do stupid stuff like take his helmet off, rooting for a brute to rip her head off. Also the elite design is bizarre…it looks like they only played infinite and got confused what was a brute and what was an elite. Also i hope they didnt completely removed grunts, that would have been amazing comedic relief
Not as interesting or engrossing as American Crime Story, but still pretty well done. You can definitely tell the tone of show is presented from Edie Falco's character's POV as the show presents the Menendez boys as worthy of sympathy.
The writing and acting is garbage, feels like a soapy YA show. I'm also particularly embarrassed for Ken Leung, easily the worst performance in this hunk of junk.
