Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 6

This season was such a huge disappointment to me after season 5, which had such a clear and consistent mission and an entertaining villain in Glory. It started out interesting (with Buffy being depressed about being brought back to life), but the resolution was basically "get over it we need to deal with the new villain" who ended up being just some dweeby old classmates? The plots of the episode became very serialized again, which is something I thought the series had evolved past. Because of this, we had to watch Dawn do stupid teenage things and Anya be sad for the bulk of the second half and made it feel so anticlimactic. By the end, I didn't even care that Willow had turned evil and I was just hoping for it to be over with. Even Spike couldn't save this season for me

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: Season 1

This show took me about three attempts to get into. I just found the beginning so grating. But once I was used to the comedy style and the songs were just hit after hit, I couldn't help but fall in love and now it's one of my favorite shows!

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: Season 2

This is by far my favorite season of the show. Every episode is either good or excellent and it has some of the best songs and the best humor. Everyone's a little more settled into their characters and the introduction to Nathaniel adds so much to the show!! I could go on and on about how perfect this season is...

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: Season 3

This season goes through a lot of ups and downs (in my opinion), but the ups come quickly enough to keep it entertaining and it ends super strongly!

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: Season 4

This season provides enough entertainment to get through and has a few great songs, but it doesn't compare to the preceding seasons. If you're invested in the characters, it serves up a good ending that you'll be satisfied with. But most of it is filler.

But "I'm Almost Over You" is one of the best episodes in the entire series!!

Westworld: Season 1

I've seen this season like 5 times and it's always so good. The writing and pacing and acting and spectacle is all there and you'll just find more to love every time you see it. It's impossible for your curiosity not to get the better of you with how incredibly this season unfolds, so there's no point saying "stop after season 1". But if you really do have great self control.....stop after season 1.

Westworld: Season 2

This could've been a good season if it wasn't preceded by such an amazing one, maybe? I wish they had gone into the backstory elements more, that might've been more interesting than watching the downfall of the park. Or maybe having a simpler timeline would've helped? Honestly, it would take forever listing all the ways they could have made this season better...

Westworld: Season 3

I was just so bored

Westworld: Season 4

Oh lord...it started out better than season 3? I guess? But, it quickly fell apart and that low bar fell even lower. I just didn't even know what was going on anymore and it just made me sad

RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 7

Once you're already well-versed in the franchise, this season is a blast to watch because there are so many iconic moments and everyone is still relatively shady (that fades away after this season). I admit that on a first watch it comes off really disappointing though! If anything, it's worth it just so you can meet Katya and root for her on All Stars!

RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 8

Just an awesome, short season of an iconic cast and my favorite RPDR episode ever: New Wave Queens!

RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 9

talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference

But seriously, this cast had amazing chemistry and challenges and was just so much fun! And then the finale and reunion came and knocked it out of the freakin park! This was also the first season I watched live and I have such fond memories of rooting for Sasha but being convinced it would never actually happen :)))

RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 10

This was one of the first seasons I watched live so I have fond memories of it. But actually looking back at the challenges, it was just okay. It had a good cast but this is when the show really started to encourage queens finding a silly, insignificant brand based on their performance on the show and it led to none of the queens really learning or growing.

RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 11

I agree that this is the weakest season. Just felt like no one jived and the challenges were poorly planned?

RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 14

I found this season pretty lackluster. The cast, while fairly talented, didn't have much chemistry. I had a similar problem with Willow Pill that I had with Symone; it seems like she was picked as a favorite in the first few challenges and then Ru & Co. pretended she did amazing the entire season to give her the win. I think others (like Gottmik, Rose, and Lady Camden) improved over the course of the show and were more deserving of the win since they showed growth and had similar track records to Willow/Symone. Other than Super Tease and Moulin Ru I don't see myself rewatching this season much.

RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 13

I disliked this season while it was airing, but now I look back on it more fondly. Great cast, a few great challenges, one of the best top 4's. I had disagreements with some judging choices but...it's a reality TV show, I'm not gonna lose sleep over it.

RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 12

I was getting tired of "new" Drag Race, none of the seasons seemed to the same magic. But holy shit, this season was incredible!! Maybe the strongest lineup we've seen since season 6? Everyone was so loveable (well almost everyone), and the challenges were inventive and fun. It's so rewatchable and that's what makes an incredible RPDR season to me!

Players: Season 1

I am not a LOL fan (just a big American Vandal fan) and this didn't disappoint! Once again, the creators were able to find INCREDIBLE unknown actors who perfectly fit their roles and have great comedic timing. Also, they write such intricate and believable backstories for their characters, their attention to detail is inspiring.

Although it had a little more filler and was not best suited for week-to-week viewing, the characters are likeable and the premise is funny. I would definitely watch it again, super sad it's been canceled though since it ended on a great note :(

Breaking Bad: Season 2

Even better than season 1, this one ups the stakes without it going off the rails and there is still enough humor to keep it from getting really bleak. Jesse gets more screen-time and characterization away from Walt, as do Skylar and Hank.

Once again the series shows how great it as at maintaining tension (even when you know the main characters aren't gonna die)!

Breaking Bad: Season 1

This season builds so well, but does a great job of not getting too crazy too fast. Walt is still likeable in the end and there's not really a boring moment. I appreciate how this season digs into Walt's past more with Gretchen and Elliott, since the later seasons are only focused on Walt doing action things and the new people he's meeting.

It's a quick season but they do a great job introducing everyone very quickly and most characters are true to who they are from the start!

Class of '07: Season 1

The needle drops are great and the premise is fun, but I couldn't help but feel bored and like it just wasn't funny enough. Really liked the actresses though!

The Rehearsal: Season 1

Where to begin?...

The more I accept this show for what it actually is, the better I like it. After the first episode, I expected it to be a serialized show (just a more extreme version of Nathan For You). This made me disappointed in the introduction of the Angela storyline at first. It kinda made me mad that the show was structured so inconsistently.

But I think this is just what happened to Nathan/the other writers while producing it (plus probable COVID production issues). They realized the Angela stuff was interesting and would make a good core to the show and then they just followed every lead into a new direction. Kind of like in How To with John Wilson when he just monologues until he can make a connection between a poignant observation and the footage. Once I looked at it as Nathan just doing his own thing, I relaxed and appreciated the ride so much more!

Fleabag: Season 2

This season was better than the first, but I didn't love the ending. There seemed to be more family scenes (which were always the best in season one) and adding in the priest didn't hurt! I think the show is just too short for me to become overly invested in :/

loading replies
Fleabag: Season 1

Honestly, not as big a fan as others but I definitely enjoy it more on a rewatch. In my opinion, the show doesn't really get entertaining until Claire shows up. The scenes with her family are absolutely awesome, but the others are just so-so.

It's a fun and quick watch, though.

Survivor: Season 33

Adam, David, Hannah, Jay, Ken, Zeke

Pretty good season, lots of memorable people. As someone who's never loved the old vs. young storylines, this season started out annoying and weak. But, in the end, this one showed off that the most charming people are the ones who prevail on Survivor and it was fun to watch the second half!

Survivor: Season 39

Dean, Elaine, Noura, Tommy

Lord, this season was rough. Noura was just SO annoying, and Dean played the game exceedingly well (too bad he screwed almost everyone over and they decided to vote for the sweeter Tommy . Had a hard time getting through it and the ending didn't make up for it, if anything it made me madder.

Survivor: Season 3

Big Tom, Ethan, Kelly, Kim, Kim, Lex, Teresa

This season is insane, it's crazy to see what old casts had to go through when they're just handed water and a safe camp nowadays. While it wasn't the most interesting after the halfway point, this cast seemed genuinely close by the end and it was sad to watch them go!

Survivor: Season 17

Ace, Bob, Corinne, Kenny, Matty, Randy, Sugar, Susie

This season was kind of rough at first, but in the end you realize that's what makes you root for the survivors even harder. I didn't realize how much I cared until the end! This had a great cast though with some loveable heroes and a few...assholes.

Survivor: Season 37

This was a solid season with a super charismatic cast, but it really was Sasha's to lose which made it feel not as groundbreaking in the end. The challenges were more unique than the last few seasons, however the 40-minute runtime drama did affect my overall enjoyment.

Thank you to Anetra and Loosey for serving some of the most iconic talent shows in awhile!
