Well, I guess I saw a different film to the other reviewers on this page. Visually beautiful, dreamily shot, this was an engaging drama that drew me in from the start. There is much on offer here, provided you aren't expecting a cookie-cutter thriller.
I thought the movie was slow, but interesting. The last 15 minutes or so made it all worthwhile. Anyone who can think, will know why it ended like it did. It will hit you emotionally.
I was raised in the 90's and I watched every Meg Ryan movie, so I know a good romantic comedy when I see one. This is a good one.
This was so much fun, predictable but lovable.
I cried, but who’s surprised
Watched 1st episode and I can say is: don't expect this to be a serious TV show. Exaggeration of the emotions by the actors is through the roof. It's 3D anime/manga.
Very funny in parts, but a movie with a really good message to it. If you had 60 seconds to grab your most prized possession, what would you grab?
Another horror sequel that doesn’t need to exist. The original had a fantastic premise so the fact that there weren’t rly any likable characters was easier to ignore. The first one had a plot u could describe to someone and convince them to watch whereas this one felt very generic and like something I’ve seen before. This movie starts strong and try’s to connect us to Stephen Lang’s character but as the movie progresses u care less and less and ultimately just wait for the movie to end because u could care less about a single character in the movie. And that’s where this movie hits its biggest flaw it doesn’t matter who dies or how if the only reason u don’t want them to die is because there there a lil bit less of a douchebag than the next character. A movie can’t connect to the audience if the audience can’t connect with the characters. That being said I was never scared or on the edge of my seat like the first mostly because I didn’t care about anyone.
If you love the work of Junji Ito and had read Tomie.
Well, I recommend this show as the main character
have Tomie vibes.
This documentary was everything I thought it would be and more! It was refreshing to see the therapeutic and healing side of pole dancing explored and highlighted instead of the entertainment adult industry .
This was not at all what I was expecting, but it resonated with me on a deep level. 'Strip down, rise up' is not a conventional documentary about pole dancing, and it is not even about individual stories, but rather, about femininity and finding ourselves for the first time, or finding ourselves again despite what the world continuously tries to throw at us. This aspect of aerial arts like pole dancing is not often represented or thought about, and it was a good surprise to see it here. Come to think of it, one of the main reasons I do pole and aerial hoop is the reason they are showcasing here, so kudos to Sheila, Amy, and all of the girls that made this documentary happen!
Intolerable Cruelty was decent. It had its funny moments, but the rest of the time it was just lurching about everywhere. The overacting was a bit much for me at times too. Burn After Reading was a much better black comedy and is still my favourite of the Coen films that I've seen.
Megan Fox is back stronger than ever in a horror/thriller type film!
Adding this one in my "female protagonist gets free of her toxic s/o" list with The Invisible Man & Gerald's Game.
I can see how people are dumping on this movie, but I enjoyed it. Although predictable, the plot changes (they aren't strong enough to call them twists) were enjoyable.
Not worth a rewatch, but definitely recommended.
A very decent survival fight for your life thriller. It has flaws but overall left me satisfied and on the edge of my seat.
I immensely liked this show, it was a little bit of Hunger Games and Battle Royale. The story was exciting, the games were cool and interesting, and the characters were life-like. I guess this is the main reason I loved this show - there were no kdrama bs, no romance no nothing we got used to in other kdramas. This was an awesome tv show, with great side stories, and although sometimes the acting was off, or the dialogues were clichés, overall the drama did an awesome job to hook its viewers. Favorite characters were the old man and the north korean girl, favorite games were the first one (the moving, not moving) and the marbles.
MInus 2 points for the ending, because it is such a bad way to close - it was not logical for our main character to act like that. :( Apart from this, it's still a better kdrama. Dark, gritty but it hooks the viewers instantly.
I thought this was a great series but I hated the ending
What did I just watch.... absolutely terrible
Great movie, from the 1st contact with aliens it’s a trill ride. The CGI is really good, the aliens are mean as hell, and it all blends well with time travel and a story of family. If you have a great audio system, crank it up!
Twice the scares.
Twice the action.
Twice the joy.
Roll on Part III
This genre is hard to get right. Getting it right twice? Very cool. There’s a few holes here and there (like why not play a message, “the aliens can’t swim, come to our island” or how does burning a massive bonfire when the crazies are at the dock not end up with the crazies attacking?) but they don’t make it any less enjoyable/intense watch. Go see it
Amazing. It flows on nicely from the last film, but never gives too much away about the aliens, adding to their mystery and menace.
As with the first I liked the slow build up of tension. Then the multiple threats, of everyone being confronted at once in different places, as though there’s nowhere to run or hide. And the survival ideas are clever too, so you never know what’s coming next. If it spawns a third, I think there’s still new ground to cover and it would be a great trilogy.
Awesome!
In sample words
a move that makes you feel nervous from what gonna happen
really great Job
waiting for the third
forgot how substantial the difference between a theater screening and a slow computer running 123movies is
this was absolutely gorgeous in every way imaginable
An engrossing, expansive, and incredibly well made film. It has it’s issues but for the most part it’s a very worthy sequel.
This is the worst movie I have seen in a long, long time.
Don't confuse this is not an action film, its purely drama. not bad
Kirsten Stewart is such a mediocre actress
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It’:
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson could read the phone book on screen for two hours and I’d rate it 10/10. They’re both incredible and I love their chemistry together.
Yeah, it might have been the lesser of the Conjuring trio, but it was nice to see them do something different. Not another straight-up demon or haunted house. The change might have offered less stakes/scares, but it was a welcome change nonetheless.
John Noble is a legend and the world needs to see more of him. :pound_symbol:WalterBishop
