Korean Movies Always Top Notch
An absolutely wonderful movie.
The story was captivating, emotional, and it kept my focus the whole time.
Loved the two female leads. Both played exceptionally well.
Don't want to spoil the ending, just watch the movie.
Most movies I have hard time rating, this one - 10 out of 10 easily.
This one of most hardest movies I have ever seen
It's hard to knos that it's really happened
even if it's just acting it's still hard!!!
like wtf i wish i can meet the real people to really make them suffer
I hope for anyone passed by something like that or for anyone in this life to be safe and away from this shitty world things
fuck
really fuck this world
Probably one of the best movies I watched, but I will never watch it again. I had to take breaks while watching it because it was just so hard to stomach everything. It took me multiple days to process it after. The actors are all impressive and even though it's hard to watch, I consider it to be a must-watch for everyone.
The original title of the film is Jodaeiye Nader az Simin.
I don't know why but I still tend to underestimate what a great actress Dakota Johnson is.
An imperfect copy of "A fault in our Stars"
Film 63 (Goal: 300) of 2024
It's standard fare, all of these romcoms are. But you can do standard fare well or you can do a poor job of it, and Upgraded is a surprisingly decent romantic comedy (though very light on the comedy) that sees the protagonist hop from America to London.
As someone who has just got back from London, it would have been great to see a bit more of London. The confusion on the transition from America to the UK is always fun, if not a bit stereotypical. The problems with this rom com are that despite her situation in life, everything seems to fall the way of the lead. The upgrade, the man sitting next to her, the people she meets, the influence she has over them. So it's hard to buy into her struggle. Also not sure how much connection there is between the two leads, I found Archie Renaux to be a bore. He needed more oomph to him instead of just being the nice guy.
This isn't a bad way to spend 90 minutes. It's an easy watch and there are far worse romcoms out there.
this is not even cinema i don't get why its so overhyped :sob::sob::sob::sob: so so so boring
This is a very sad movie, it's one of those movies where you can see how it's going to go coming really the entire time but that doesn't soften how much it affects you witnessing it happen. To any dads out there with daughters, just warning you now, this is going to be like a sledgehammer to the chest.
Predictable plot, has some nicely done jumpscares. Saw it in the cinema but this would be better at night home alone instead of the snickering fools in the cinemaroom destroying any carefully built tension so my advice is to wait for the Blu-Ray.
just boring, and full of cringe love moments
the actors had no chemistry whatsoever
i mean even the movie idea had no sense !
the cast is amazing and yet couldn't save the movie lol, it wasn't catchy at all felt bored and had trouble staying focused, add to it how predictable the plot twist was ...
To put review of this movie in one line.
"Everyone has a different coping mechanism. So don't f**king teach them how to deal with their sorrows."
Trying to get through this one but the lead character is so obnoxious. She's in constant attack mode with the love interest for what seems like no reason. She goes off on him about mansplaining at a point when he wasn't actually mansplaining anything. He was just trying to tell her that the wrench she has isn't going to work. It just makes her seem abrasive, rude, and unlikeable. I honestly want to tell him to find someone else to fall for because she's not a pleasant person to spend time with.
Ana de Armas steals the show and I'm not sure that's a good thing for such a small part
Mia isaac as Rowan is spectacular. Enjoyed the storyline but also i get mad second hand embarrassment so i had to skip over some parts. I couldn't handle it. costuming on Zoey Deutch was so good. Also Caroline Calloway being in this truly sent me. The fact that she was the moderator for the online shaming support group??? DEAD. LMFAO.
I had no idea that I'd appreciate this movie as much as I did when first sitting down to watch it. This was a surprisingly powerful film, and Mia Isaac and Zoey Deutch were really effective in their roles. To be frank, as I started to watch this, I thought that I was going to hate it, b/c I couldn't stand the characters in the film, but in reality, this was about the journey they went on and where they arrived at the end of the film. I think that it's a solid in lesson in realizing many we see online may have personas that aren't necessarily who they are in real-life, and they're not all one-note characters incapable of change. This film made me realize that we need to take each instance of deceit on a case-by-case basis, b/c in certain circumstances, people do have the capacity to cause great change in themselves. They won't always be selfish or thoughtless, b/c experience and education can effectuate changes in us that we may not have expected.
Unnecessary prequel to Army Of The Dead but it offers an enjoyable way to pass the time nevertheless. Running time could have been shorter though as my interest started to wane near the end.
The only horror in this movie, was that annoying kid crying all the time.
The only reason I clicked on this movie and watched it is because Emma Roberts was on the cover.
Had been a while since I’ve felt so infuriated watching a film. Julia (the main character) is so FCKNG annoying, stupid, weak. She’s so stupid, I was rooting for her to die the whole time.
The people living on a sand planet definitely wouldn't be white. Thanks fr coming to my ted talk.
Not sure why the rotten tomates ratings are terrible or why some people hate this. I realy liked it. It depicted the toxic way people often deal with rape vitims in a painfully realistic way. Great fashion sense. I thought Mila Kunis did a great job. Definitely can be triggering for some people but I think that like Promising Young Woman, young adults should really watch this.
Oh boy this is really gonna piss off all the preppy rapists of society, I forecast many downvotes and hate posts.
Brutal, Adrenaline Pumping, Hillarious
The Roundup is a riotously entertaining action comedy which takes its genre quite seriously. Following up as a sequel to blockbuster The Outlaws, The Roundup serves as yet another high octane actioner with superior stunt choreography and subtle humor which easily sparks a giggle. An enticing screenplay and a terrifying villain keeps you predicting and engaged.
Don Lee is the king of mass action flicks in Korea and he proves it again and again. His mere presence makes the film likeable. The most satisfying part of any Don Lee movie is when he punches his heavy hands on the baddies and this one has plenty of it. Son Suk Ku as the antagonist is menacing and his performance is truly brutal.
Overall, if you liked the outlaws there is no reason to skip this. An outright entertaining action comedy which delivers in both departments. Hands Down Don Lee Supremacy all the way.
