Anti-science reactionary guru saying some dumb things about the topic he has zero knowledge of. That's basically it. If you want to be disinformed or have a good laugh then you'll enjoy this movie
I love that there are still MAGA cult morons in the comments screeching about the show going "woke".
They've been mask-off openly mocking you for two seasons now. Surely it can't all be going over your head...right? Right...?
It’s pretty hilarious to see people all weak at the knees because Frenchie is “suddenly gay”. That bro has been displaying bisexual tendencies since season one. He admitted to “turning tricks” to make ends meet, and told MM to be “open minded” when love sausage wrapped his piece around him at Herogasm.
But it does suck that his relationship with Kimiko is seemingly on the outs. It’s been building up for a while so hopefully that’s just a curveball being thrown by the writers. I’ve always loved their dynamic.
Haters gonna hate but this was incredible.
Star Trek has always been idealist. People complaining about that can't accept what Star Trek is.
Discover takes us on more of an inner journey, hence it is told through the lens of a main character, rather than mostly the captain as with previous Star Trek series.
It is by far the most moving and while it's true that it's feel differs to old Star Trek it is very meaningful.
On top of this, it looks great, and the acting is pretty good too, considering the format, which isn't one of absolute realism.
I think some people have a problem whereby they prescribe what Star Trek 'is' or 'should be' but that sort of retro thinking is exactly what Star Trek has always, ideologically, been about challenging.
People complaining about Frenchie "suddenly being gay" have clearly never met a gay person before.
Great movie, I loved it. And the less you know about it before watching, the better.
For a minute there I thought I downloaded the wrong show. :joy:
This show is more Star Trek than ToS, and all the slimy dorks crying about SJWs would have done the same in 1966 when Roddenberry had the audacity to put a black woman on the bridge as an officer.
Far right conservative-‘Christian’ pulpit preaching agenda driven nonsense.
I definitely lost brain cells after watching the first few minutes. It's not really funny unfortunately, but I can see how stupid people would laugh at this shit.
rip bozo get fucked todd
this is a good start to the new season if you had any amount of media literacy, which can't be said for half this show's viewerbase
Calling out discrimination and preaching tolerance? The X-men have gone woke!
-some clueless idiot.
Extremely "loosely" based on a real person, so pretty much made up garbage, with the typical Q conspiracy crap when there's real issues to be addressed. Nonsense movies like this take the focus from legitimate trafficking issues and turn into conspiracy theories BS so that the nut jobs can ignore fixing real problems.
And while other actors do bad movies, why is every right wing nut job actor always picking this conspiracy theory crazy shit? We can get bat shit crazy from relatives and friends that went down that absurd rabbit hole. Every right wing nut insists on playing right wing nut shit.
Imagine if Tom Cruise only did movies pushing Scientology... no one would give a shit and he would be a nobody. Welcome to this shit show movie.
0/10. Shitty, made up, preachy conspiracy theory garbage.
This movie will scare Republicans because it is "woke". Another item added to their list.
For those of us who don't live in an echo chamber... this film touches on actual issues that we are living in right now. Technology dependency, racism, disaffected youth... to name a few. The premise is plausible, the reactions from the characters are genuine and well executed and the ending is explained to you if you payed attention.
There are few dull moments and if your audio is good, a few jump scares will keep your heart rate up.
I liked that they do not take themselves serious. It was on purpose that it is a cringe musical episode. It was part of the concept.
I like that they experiment with episodes, but i would stick to one experiment per season.
But i must say that i did not really enjoyed it so much. A real musical has more themes to offer than just emotional songs. There are also songs that are fun, sad, progressive and so much more. But in this episode they only chose songs that are emotional.
Also i did not get why Chapel was written so hard and cold in this episode. I would have liked it more if there would have been some empathy from her for Spock.
Great take on a classic character, unexpectedly good and with the best song soundtrack in a while
Dr. M'Benga on the floor "do I get the same treatment, or... do I just wait until you two are done?"
Of course Ron Howard makes a movie about a fascist.
This is a propaganda movie nothing else. trying to paint that moron as a person. All it shows that he comes from a family of insane people with two digit IQ on a good day which in turn just means he is slightly better at hiding it than they are. Strange that they did not show him diddling a couch.
My fault, I should have at least watched a trailer first.
Deceptive, boring, long, preachy, poorly acted. Not a fan of this. I believe it has high ranking because of the non-movie people who think the "message" in the film is helping their God somehow.
I knew nothing about this going in, and I'd recommend everyone else try to do it the same way. Do not watch the trailer. Just go in blind and enjoy.
I was looking for more of a documentary on Calvin & Hobbes, and less of a fanfilm about how awesome it is. I already know that!
The parts of the film that are more documentary-like, like the scenes in the library with the copies of the original artwork, those are good and interesting. The scenes with other cartoonists discussing how they were influenced by Watterson, or discussing his influences, those are good to.
The rest of the film is just random people talking about how good Calvin & Hobbes is. Not worth seeing.
Stuntmen/women should get Oscars!
“Second best.”
oh spontaneous combustion immediately. asap.
The meme videos did better clips of Jones being embarrassed on the stand in both cases than this did. They focused more on the parents stories, which was by far more respectful than Jones was over the decade of hell he put these folks through.
The fact that Jones really still hasn't been held to account, that he still snubs the system by not paying up for either of the two cases, just shows how in our country people like him WASP men always continue to get a different standard than the rest of us. it's unconscionable even though it should be unfathomable.
8 out of 10.
8 is usually a good as it gets for a documentary. it's easy to back seat drive, but no documentary has the time to tell the story unless they want to do 5 to ten 45 minute/1 hour segments.
Super Fun and a glimpse into the America Trump and his supporters want.
It was better than last weeks episode. Enjoyed it for what it was, but I find myself increasingly trying to hush the part of my brain that is screaming - "Where is Chief's armour?!"
Initially, I found the idea of an out of armour chief interesting during the earlier parts of this season.
But I am tired now.
