Contrary to my expectations this was actually a pretty decent super hero movie with a female protagonist. Pleasantly surprised.

But it is hard to let a movie get away with an obvious plothole. Why would Steve's character sacrifice himself by blowing up the gas filled airplane? He had many ways out without having to sacrifice his life (like letting the plane which was heading for London crash into the North Sea). Characters making such dumb decisions just to have them serve the story is bad writing and instantly pull me out of this otherwise enchanting story.
