Guns & Gulaabs

I freaking love this series! It's fun, it's thrilling, the characters are amazing. It really gives me Tarantino vibes in the best sense. And the ending is very satisfying! With all the stories betting wrapped up fantastically, and every episode having led to them. Honestly, go watch this show! Do yourself a favour and enjoy the silliness and great story-lines!

Love on the Spectrum

This isn't just a great and adorable series, but I feel like EVERYONE should watch it. It shows a lot of different people on the spectrum, how they deal with other people, dates, and love. It is wonderful and most importantly educational. I feel like this show to a point can help people understand those on the spectrum a lot better, and create an open conversation on how we view others. I am going to be recommending this to everyone I know!

Willow: 1x01 The Gales

I loved this! I understand it has its flaws, but it's light-hearted and a great nod to the source material. I love the team-up, it feels forced, but the characters work well together. Shout out to Boorman! A Legend. Dove grew on me very fast, and I feel like there is more to her than we know. While I enjoyed Airk, I'm glad he's the one who got kidnapped. And the guard dying was so dry, I loved it. I expected him to perish, and he did only a few seconds after I said it out loud.

Never Have I Ever: 1x10 ... said I'm sorry

I watched the show in one go, and it was better than I expected. I love Young Adult tv-shows, but this one was one of the first where all the drama didn't feel forced. Devi was dealing with a lot, so were all the other characters, and being human, they all dealt with it in their own strange ways. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Willow: 1x08 Children of the Wyrm

I am begging Disney to renew this, that cliffhanger was great, and I freaking adore all the characters to such a point that I was crying/sad eyes whenever a character presumed dead or left the main cast behind. I freaking love the tone, it's less serious than most other shows out there, especially fantasy series. It has helped me get through the past weeks, I've laughed out loud, I've cried, I've felt all the emotions, but mostly I was excited for Wednesday! So thank you Willow, for making me excited about Wednesday!

The Magicians: 3x05 A Life in the Day

The whole sequence with Quinten and Elliot slowly aging, falling in love, dealing with death, raising a son, and eventually one having to bury the other, it was beautiful. It was very very touching and not just well acted, but beautifully put together.

Sex Education: 4x05 Episode 5

We get our first openly ace character on the main supporting cast (and not a one-off side character like earlier), and this happens. ;-; Felt like a very manipulative move.

I hope Maeve is alright, her journey this season feels so intense and emotional, and I am rooting for her to get on top at the end of it. I am glad Aimee is such a supportive friend, and I am glad Otis told her eventually because it would've just gotten worse and worse if he didn't, but now he needs to make it up to her.

Meanwhile I am just reminding myself that these are still teenagers and they make all kinds of stupid decisions. The only one who needs to get her stuff together asap is the aunt.

Also Beau is giving me a weird vibe, I feel something is off with him.

The Great: 3x01 The Bullet or the Bear

Alright, I did not see that ending coming at all. I am sad. Orlo was my favourite character, I loved how chaotic he became with every season that progressed, and now that's over... I guess it's because the actor got different roles. But regardless, I'm going to have to take a moment before I continue the rest of the season. It feels a little weird to have lost the one character who really wanted for Peter to die, and I will miss the perspective he brought to the story, hopefully they'll have a character who will take his place.

Undone: 1x08 That Halloween Night

We watched everything in one go, and it was great. I'm very impressed by the story and the script, and the animation was amazing! I'm normally not really a fan of rotoscoping, and in some scenes it didn't work very well, but when it did work, it was breath-taking. I'm looking forward to seeing what will happen next season because that cliffhanger was something.

Sense8: 2x12 Amor Vincit Omnia

I am really glad Netflix listened to the fans and decided to make this final episode. I wasn't able to watch the show until I learned they were giving the show its deserved ending, watched the two seasons in one week. So beautifully crafted, such an amazing show and great concept, more shows should be like this. Definitely one of the best shows I've ever watched, the final felt a bit rushed and a bit confusing at times, but the ending made it all worth while.
Rayan: I didn't think this was possible. <- great nod to the reality of it.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: 1x06 Mistaken Identity

I'm rewatching the whole series, and so far this is one of my favorites. Seeing as when it aired, and how the subject matter of the episode is still relevant, it is almost too painful. The way it is addressed in the episode also shows that they don't see a whole lot of hope there, it ends on a sad note. It is so well done. It is a classic episode, everyone should see it.

WTF NO! SERIOUSLY! the one character I actually liked (okay not really, but still)! And he was protecting the princess, who obviously was very good with a sword as well, and nobody came to freaking safe him! I'm bitter.

This movie was great fun! I didn't know what to expect, but I decided to ignore all the negativity and go in without any expectations. The first scene in the haunted mansion gave me goosebumps, and had me pretty scared. After that it was all good fun, with lovable characters, great cameos, and awesome CGI and color keys. I loved Patty the most, I was afraid they would make her the token angry black woman, and I hate when that stuff happens, but despite knowing little about her - and about McKinnon's character - she grew on me the fastest. She was kind, funny, and appreciated. I plan on seeing this movie again very soon!

Britannia: 1x02 Secret Alliances

I have a weakness for Romans and the whole era, and this show has been pretty good so far. I love the scenery and the colors especially. The girl, who first annoyed me a bit, is slowly growing into my favorite "I WILL FIND THE FUCKING ROMANS MYSELF!". Loved it. Very excited to see what more they have in store for the rest of the season! Especially with Aulus heading out to meet the Druids and then the short flashback to him saying the way to defeat their enemies is to kill their gods. YES!

Snowpiercer: 4x01 Snakes in the Garden

Fantastic start! I was looking forward to this so much that I probably hyped it up way more than I should've, but it definitely delivered on what I was hoping for. More Oz, some happiness in the small new colony they created, and that nice air of mystery for Layton to solve (which I love so much about season 1). I am freaking sad about Zara though! I know she wasn't much liked, but she grew on me, and I definitely see the survivor instinct she had to develop and how it made her the person she was. She was a well-written character in my eyes and though her death was horrifying - especially in front of her child - it also worked so well with who she was. All in all, I cannot wait for the next episode! I hope it will focus solely on Snowpiercer like this one focussed solely on the new colony, it is a very good way to get re-acquitted with the characters we've left behind.

The 100: 5x10 The Warriors Will

This whole season hasn't been great, but this episode in particular just made me cringe. First O makes Bellamy fight Gaia and Indra, the Monty storms in and says the hydrofarm is working again, people turn against O. Three minutes later O destroys the Hydrofarm, and at the end of the episode not only does everyone want to go to war again, with O at the helm, who got no blacklash for destroying the farm, but Bellamy, Indra and Gaia are just happily going along. Like: WHERE ARE THE CONSEQUENCES! I get that with the Hydrofarm being ruined staying there would be a horrible option, but how can they still trust O, and if they suddenly trust her again: what makes her decide to keep the three traitors alive? I am so confused this season.

Snowpiercer: 4x05 The Engineer

Wilford being involved and working for the bad guys seems perfectly reasonable in the kind of world we live in, I'm not even surprised. I was surprised at how quickly they got Big Alice back, I think they wasted a bit too much time in the first half of the episode and some editing might've fixed that. Wilford holding Liana at the end of the episode felt too super villain-y to me, but that was probably pay back for the team taking Big Alice back. And then the thing with Ben dying and Bess realising that he planned to sacrifice himself, MY HEART. I've always loved Ben, but it made sense, he carries the weight of the world and he wants to fix other people's mistakes. They didn't have Josie so this was their only option, he knew that. His little moment of "Come on Engineer!" as heart breaking.

The Resident: 4x01 A Wedding, A Funeral

I think it is good that they incorporated COVID into the show, and I know it is mostly for the first episode, less so over the rest of the show. But still, not all of us are privileged in knowing first hand the stress hospital staff went through during the first months of the crisis (and most likely what they're dealing with right now, if it isn't worse). A lot of writers on the show were (or are) on the frontline, so I am glad they got to write about some of their experiences.

And the episode also gives hope, because as this aired, people are being vaccinated all over the world. COVID-19 changed a lot of things last year, and some of them for the worst, some of them for the better.

The Lion King

I came out of the cinema and my boyfriend asked me what I thought of the movie. I didn’t know what to say, he told me he felt nothing. That to me perfectly sums it up. This is just a cash grab for Disney that has no reason to exist. The Lion King is a timeless classic, and I will now pretend this movie never happened.
