Best Halloween movie. Don't argue with me.
Same movie; just set in New York City. While Kevin is more diabolical than ever and clearly trying to kill the Sticky Bandits/Wet Bandits. With that said the movie is full of charm and the holiday spirit.
While the soundtrack is superb. I just really hate Buzz and how he always gets away with starting with Kevin. Which makes me think of the mom especially as a jerk. Also since it always takes her awhile to realize Kevin is missing.
Fun R rated comic book movie from the 90s
This one is different enough from the first two to make it feel fresh. I like to imagine Jay and Silent Bob are always just walking around touring film studios. Also I watched this on Carrie Fisher's birthday. Makes me sad we won't see her in more movies. RIP
Eternals really changed the whole MCU. This is a new take on a whole new mcu film without the same old formula. And I kinda like how divisive and deep, dark they went for this. There's so much complexity in each character that I know people can identify with, it's everything the other mcu films could've been. Fuck rotten tomatoes.
This is an honest, spoiler-free review coming from your average fan (not a critic):
I just saw this new marvel film, and I have to say... it's no where near as bad as the critics make it out to be.
Yes there is a lot of dialogue. But it gives the characters a chance to shine and for scenes to breathe.
People call this film dense. I would disagree. Yes there is a fair bit of plot and history told, however I would say that other mcu films have simply much simpler plotlines most of the time.
There are moments when things are just about to become exciting, and then it is interrupted with more dialogue which instantly kills the suspension.
There are a number of plot twists in this film, and some unexpected things happen that I wouldn't have seen coming.
This film has a slow burn, but sometimes that's a good thing. Would I have liked more action? Yes. Was I unhappy with the action we do get? No.
I will admit, going into this film I was expecting a masterpiece, and while I wouldn't quite call it that, its definitely a well-made film, marvel or not.
Oh. And expect to have to do some reading at the very beginning. Kinda reminds me of a classic Star Wars opening crawl.
i laughed a lot with this movie, even when not being the targeted audience the film is funny
So far most of the comments I've seen here have been pretty negative. Personally I very much enjoyed the movie taking it as a fun action ride. Yes, there's been plenty of time loop based movies, but the combination of the good fight scenes, little comical points and nods to other movies combined with the time travel aspects made it to me highly enjoyable. Overall I thought the acting was pretty good for this type of movie from the Grillo, Gibson and Watts and on the whole it was an enjoyable watch.
Let's remember, we never watched the old 80s movies with the classic action stars because they were going to win oscars, they were about having a bit of over the top mindless fun. And this for me fit the bill well
I remember Fast & Furious 6 like this: A tank and just totally exaggerated action. But after I started the series again, I have to revise my opinion at least minimally. The family idea is still there. That pleases. The action is crass and increases with the next parts. Well, that's just the way it is. But Fast & Furious 6 is a good movie. A worthy representative of the series. I had a lot of fun watching it and to be honest, the last minutes touched me a lot. So thumbs up. Not least because of the probably longest runway in the Milky Way.
What a disrespect for Han and Gisele. They killed Gisele for no reason and nobody cared. They didn't even rush back to find her, they just accepted the fact that she is dead. Put yourself in Han's place in this situation, would you stand there and accept it? Wouldn't you get a car and rush to where she fell to find her? Nobody truly comforted Han over Gisele's death, just Mia and Brian did that for a few seconds and that's it. It was disgraceful.
I'm never trusting trakt's ratings for horror movies ever again.
I really enjoyed this. There were a few jump scares, but not enough to ruin the atmosphere of the movie. Probably one of the best horror movies I've seen this year. Not gonna lie, one scene gave me pure chills!
This movie was absolutely unnecessary. The original was top tier Scooby Doo. This was a mockery.
okay, let me get this straight: It's not the best movie ever. It's no LotR 2.
But: When the Movie starts and you just watch the first scene, you are IN the movie. Totally! Storytelling, smart pacing and a genius Ian McKellen. Also Martin Freeman as Bilbo is just lovley.
I watched the movie as a normal movie. no 480p and no 3d and i missed nothin.
Great Actors, great movie.
9/10
This movie could be so much better, I am not saying it is a bad one but here is THE one point that made me feel extremely uncomfortable:
This part is going to sound like a pure rant mostly because someone has to explain to me how the hell Darwin's death is within logic? Let me get you see the serious flaw of logic here. Darwin's supernatural power is making him to adapt to anything. He can literally adapt to everything and anything. One time his powers realized that it would be so dangerous to fight with the Hulk so they ended up teleporting him to another country. Another time he became a cosmic ball of energy and then rematerialized as a human being to you know.. not die? And another time he was shot with a gun that was made to kill anything that has a nervous system, and you know what he did, turned into a freaking sponge. He literally touched a goddess of death once and his powers turned him into a death god himself to prevent his death. And after all of these, seeing him die because of a pathetic ball of kinetic energy from Shaw? Seriously guys, am I the only person who sees the flaw here? They killed the mutant whose power is about nothing but SURVIVAL. And Shaw says "Adapt to this"?? well, he should have been able to! I will never get over his death, in my mind he turned into an energy ball and ascended to another existence so he would not have to deal with this nonsense.. okay, rant over.
Thank you for reading my rant.
this is my favorite movie from Harry Potter always <3
I enjoyed the movie. If you thought it was going to be a period piece, you're wrong. If you thought it was going to be Oscar-bait, you're wrong. If you thought it was going to be a lean/mean action flick with fun set pieces and an entertaining plot line...that's what you get. One of the better movies of the summer, because while it plays serious enough, it knows it is here to put on a show and entertain us. In particular, I think Rainn Wilson does a good job of not going overboard while presenting an over the top type of character. Sit back and smile as the chaos fills the screen.
I wanted to love this movie because I loved The Cabin in the Woods but I left slightly disappointed. It’s still a good movie and fun to watch. The movie looks fantastic. There were some great oners in here and the cinematography overall is great. I really did like all the crazy intertwined stories. Most of the characters were interesting enough but we hardly know them. Seeing Chris Hemsworth with his shirt off most of the movie sure is something. The soundtrack is great and Cynthia Erivo’s singing is really good. I just wish they stuck the landing a little bit better and this was 20 minutes shorter.
