Fun R rated comic book movie from the 90s
nobody going to see lucas play made me so sad
I thought the mix of comedy and social commentary worked better here than in the premiere.
even though the story felt kind of forced, this is the best episode so far! going to miss pb&j. loving the car jamming session, it gave me a strong lonely island vibe
I'm not as down on this season as some, but this is the first ep this season where all storylines are firing on all cylinders. Haven't laughed this hard at any sit-com in a while like I did at the montage of Rosa listening stone-faced to Holt's love life, especially her murderous food chopping.
That might've been one of my favorite cold opens ever. "Maybe I don't have an arch nemesis because I solve all my crimes". It's a good thing Jake was at a police precinct because that was straight up murder.
Terry, on not doing cardio in 20 years: "How hard could it be?" Then after beginning to run: "It’s immediately awful!" SO relatable!
I have to say that this was one of the goofiest episodes I have ever seen but oh boy THE ACTION was absolute masterpiece. I was pretty much disarmed here, becuase I wasn't prepared for that. How did even anyone thought, that this is a good idea. But it was sooo good.
I can't express my emotions here but you have to see it for yourself.
I really like that they are going for more unrealistic uproach although I should have expected that, since it's already 5th episode. The thing that everyone thought, there is something more behind this whole thing is just wholesome.
Still I can't get over drunk Yor and here instant sleeping. Like bro how are you capable of fighting and then the next second be able to sleep on the floor. More scenes like these please!
Other than that. Just go and see it for yourself. You won't be disappointed even if it might seem like a really awkward episode. :D
Mihawk really said that he had fun but he's gonna go home and take a nap.
Oh... Gotta watch the episode to understand the title. Clever!
Rosa's smile of utter satisfaction at the end was the best part of the episode!
i love the episodes where the group is confined to one location. it brings out the dialog of everyone perfectly.
Amy: “When did she record this?”
Rosa: “Judging by the flames around her, it could be a live stream.”
Holt's peak pettiness in the face of his rival's death is already gold, but Rosa being so unguardedly delighted by his insults and even joining in truly put it over the top.
"It happened!"
Freaking Charles!!! LOL
The ladies taking down Nigel through talk is the definition of Hot Girl Shit.
"Also, Jake, Following is Christopher Nolan's first movie. You sound like a grade A [BLEEP]-hole out here" is just such a stellar joke in every way. The phrasing (tacking the "out here" at the end might be what really makes it fly); the surprise of Pimento momentarily sidestepping his ever-present weirdness to correct Jake; Mantzoukas' straight-faced delivery; the cut to Samberg's perfectly poleaxed reaction. I can't recall the last time I laughed this hard at a pop-culture reference joke.
Jake: Ok, seriously what's going with him?
Rosa: It's a whole thing.
Jake: Is it going to screw up the plan?
Rosa: It's more quietly self destructive.
Jake: Sounds good. Terry, do you.
Even though I'm the biggest fan of Holt & Wuntch throwing insults at each other, THAT was the best interaction in the episode. LMAO.
The episode was great on its own, but... Damn! That ending made my day! What a team!
Caleb: There was some weird guy on the forum recently.
Boyle: Forum?
Caleb: Yeah, it's a chat room for people who like to talk about eating human beings but definitely won't act on it. Wink! Yeah, it's hosted on...
Jake and Boyle: ... Reddit.
Caleb: Obviously.
"Cheddar, you duplicitous bitch!"
"The only thing you won last heist was a lifetime of mediocre heterosexual intercourse with Jake."
Dead.
My tone wasn’t nice.
That was the oh snappiest OH SNAP I’ve ever uttered. Charles angry with Jake almost had me suicidal.
Captain Holt is so goddamn extra and I LOVE IT. Also, imagine being as civilized and respectful as Rosa and Amy having that debate. Ugh, I love these people. Stephanie did a great job with her directorial debut. Fantastic material.
A worthy sequel to the flawless masterpiece of "Game Night"! Need more episodes solely with an a-plot.
I could watch an entire episode (maybe even a full season) of Gina and Captain Holt having a conversation over a couple hundred chess games. Holt's trash talk was a sweet bonus that was, again, shamefully underused.
Two episodes in a row: Gina at the top of her game! They really want us to miss her...
Farewell, The Paris of People, The Human Form of The 100% Emoji, The perfect state of mind, The Gina Linetti.
Even though this probably isn't permanent, I'm still gonna miss her.
"Get pregnant. Use your body to give the world more Jake."
I actually really enjoyed the Jake/Kevin dynamic in this episode.
This one is different enough from the first two to make it feel fresh. I like to imagine Jay and Silent Bob are always just walking around touring film studios. Also I watched this on Carrie Fisher's birthday. Makes me sad we won't see her in more movies. RIP
"wow, you didn't even say breast" "yeah, because I'm not a child. I need my afternoon nap" xD
