Binged this in a day and yes it ends with a cliffhanger.
Mostly enjoyed it. Sometimes there are pacing issues and occasionally the acting was a little bit lackluster.
Just finished the first two episodes (I seriously dislike episodic releases, I will probably wait until the whole season drops before I watch the rest). Initial impressions - interesting characters, great chemistry between Clint and Kate (they are perfect foils for each other), great fight scenes (they’ve given Kate the Black Widow’s signature move). Lots of action. Lots of fun. Love the dog. Based on the first two episodes, I’m giving this series an 8 (great) out of 10. [Superhero Action Adventure]
Honestly, how could this fail? Two of the fasted rising stars (Hailee Steinfeld and Florence Pugh), the weight of the Marvel Universe behind it (Kevin Feige’s vision and Marvel’s course corrections in balancing humour, action and superheroes) and the growing power of the television format to maximize storylines. This was another winner. The only holdbacks for me were the one toned performance of Jeremy Renner and the weakness of a credible threat. I give this series an 8 (great) out if 10. [Superhero Action Adventure]
It was kind of unexpected for me how much I enjoyed it. I had really low expectations (because Hawkeye), but I think this is one of my favorite MCU-shows thus far. It's not that big in scale, which helps a lot. The dynamic between Kate and Clint is great and Yelena is awesome. I just had fun with this, it has great humor most of the time. Nothing unexpected or stuff that made me fall of my chair laughing, but just a fun, action-packed show. Also, love the Christmas-setting; move aside Iron Man 3!
The actor who played Harry wasn't too bad. Having said that, this is disappointing if you're a fan of the novels. They changed a key character to be "ethnic" thus removing the humor in that character's appearance. I could go on. At least they didn't insist on putting a hat on Harry (fan joke). If you haven't read the novels and would like to, be aware that the show does have plot spoilers.
It started OK, it's going down hill .... but who cares The Expanse is back on today!!!!!!!!!!!!
love the movies. hate the show.
lots of travel. lots of shooting. lots of aliens. lots of great cgi.
zero talk. zero depth. zero emotion.
zero suspense.
heck it's even worse than syfy's killjoys, dark matter & defiance...
Season 1 I really enjoyed. Season 2 just a little less but wanted to finish off the story. Season 3 ... It took 3-4 sittings for me to finish episode 1, and I can't bring myself to keep going. When I consider watching, I instead find myself on YouTube or Twitch looking for something else.
You had to extend the main story arc into 5 seasons or something. But you ended it in last season, now trying to start it from all over again? new tattoes? seriously? No, it just feels forced now, everything, scenario, acting, everything. Done with this show, ill try to remember this as a 2 seasons tv series.
the best stargate series IMO
Justified is some of the best, most original and witty television you will ever see.
Absolutely fantastic, certainly my favorite currently airing TV show - great acting, plots, drama, and wit. I'd say it gets better as it goes on, but that's not to say it goes from bland to great, it goes from great to amazing.
"Well, well if it isn't Raylan Givens." You'll hear this about 10,000 times more.
How awesome it would've been if she had taken over the daily show instead... now can we have this daily as compensation as well? Thanks!
